You do what you think is best for you. I don't think there is anything illegal or even unethical in what you did, that the police would care about, but I get that you'd rather avoid this getting back to you in real life in any way.

Have you considered continuing after a different pseudonym for a while? Maybe merge yourself with 'Eficient' again eventually, if things calm down?
