I New pedagogy -English
For many years the world had suffered from overpopulation, especially in the industrialized countries whose birth rates had previuosly sunken dangerously low. Now the birthrate was 20.4 per woman, thanks to the wonders of medicine. Only crude estimats exist, but every reasonable expert will give 17 Billion as a minimum value. Earth's population must not grow any mor, all the world agreed on that, since thanks to the wonders of medicine the old generations didn't die qucik enough to make up for the flood of newborn cildren.
Gruesome acts of desparation like wiping out entire ctities in the poorer parts of the world only worked temporary and destabilized society too much to continue. Reforms over reforms, reducing the bureaucratic process of euthanasia to a couple of minutes didn't help nearly as good as expected, for the simple reason that the old people just wanted to go on living. The resistance against forced abortion was far to great, it did after all infringe the bodiliy autonomy of full grown adults, priviliged members of society. It was a disgrace!
The solution was found by a small group of german university students whose Ideas amazed their professors enough for them to immedialty contact the ministry of research and education. If people won't stop bearing children then the only way is to accustom children to death, even making them celebrate it like christmas or a birthday. They were after all a significant part of society, obedient and easy to influence. Among them surely the suffering could be minimized. In a couple of months time they had recieved the necessary legal base and unlimited resources from many governments, giving them acess to tens of thousands of groups of children, 20 to 40 per group and three years old. To prevent the population from growing further the numbers clearly stated that more than 9 out of 10 children had to die before reproducing.
However the human will to nurture was unbroken. Imitating King Herod by instantly disposing of the neccessary amount was simply against the parents' wishes who would see their children treated as nothing more than a number in a birth statistic. No, what our students planned was as insane as it was genius. Not only were the children not allowed to go on living, they were supposed to willfully walk to the chopping block like lambs. For the greater good of all the experiment was started ehich would change humanity forever.
Singular children from the groups were randomly chosen and put to death. This happened in places like playgrounds, daycares, whereever the other group members would be present. Those to be executed were comforted by their parents and killed by many differnt methods, as long as they could be performed by an ordinary person and were not overly cruel. Among them were beheadings, cutting the throat, opening the arteries, strangulation by rope or ahnd, suffoctaion by pillows and drowning. Everyone was carefully instructed to not make it seem like a punishment or bad luck but just as a random fate that may one day happen to the survivors.
Under no circumstances were methods to be used that would damage the body more than necessary. No guns, poison or blunt weapons. Not only because the other children were encouraged to touch the dead body in order for them to get ued to it, there was also an easy and convenient opportunity to directly involve the kids into the process. Instead of complicated burial procedures the corpses were simply consumed. In front of the children the bodies were taken apart and meat from them was fed to them. That way the death of a friend was instantly also linked to a festivity.
As new generations reached the age of three years the same procedures happened to them as well.
In the following years the children began to impatiently await the death of one of their comrades similar to awating easter for example, singing songs and producing childish decorations.
An Army of psychologists watched over thegroups an unanimously reported:
"The children do not consider the killings as punishments but as godgiven and necessary. None of the questioned children showed any kind of fear when being asked: "What if it is you next time?", just the normal amount of uneasiness that is to be expected when children are excited for something coming up. In many groups the chosen were told of their nearing fate, with different amounts of time left, in varrying amounts of detail and in some groups just the condemmed where told while in other ones it was openly announced. There were normal signs of surprise up to excitements. Final goodbyes happened but not in the intensity or tragedy that would occure in case of sudden death.
Based on those studies we recommend openly announcing the victims at least two weeks in advance. That way the child still has time to reach a closure, additionly the unrushed final goodbyes have shown to strenghten the overall unity of the groups."
As three years had passed and the original participants were now six years old more and more reports came in that children requested to participate in executing their peers. This was granted as long as a figure of authority was watching.
Across all ages it was observed that especially when a new execution was on the horizon the childrens' sexual activities multiplied, especially those of the victims, as far as they were announced. At the time of discovery none of the children had reached puberty yet, but this was of no concern anyway. Centuries of Eugenics (Which were partially responsible for societie's contempt for abortion and sterilisation) had changed humans to show all visual signs of puberty in the expected age ranges but to actulyy reach the capability to bear children at about 22 years of age. The council of the university students in reaction to this proclaimed to teach all little children and infants to masturbate and to strongly encourage casual sexual intercourse and the normalisation of nudity amongst children. The speed at which this document was published leads most historians to believe that this was the students' plan all along, they just waited for a proper opportunity.
At first people were worried that with the beginning of puberty the teenagers would rebel against the killings, after all teenagers revolt against lots of things they dislike. Luckily this didn't happen. The dcision to not let it become a ceremony only carried out by the adults paid off. The executions staied social events and were attended just as much as before.
As the big day came and the survivors of the first groups celebrated their 20.birthdays the results were presantable.
Only 10 Percent of the original children had survived and become full adults. had they been the entire population of earth, it would not have grown for the first time in ages. Even though they groew up with the constant possibility of death they had no psychological damages out of the norm, on the contrary, they were far more modest and moral than the average population.
In all the world those students were hailed as heroes and praised by everyone. But despite those Triumphs they did not sit down to rest for their work wasn't finished yet.
Just in time when the first industrialized nations adopted their modell they developed a system that would, after being fed with data regarding the children make random plans to decide who was to be put to death on which time. In most nations this unbiased machine was utilized, making it punishable by death for an adult to manipulate it.
The students intensly discussed the ethics of their next steps which in hindsight turned out to be wise and good.
They declared, if killing children is morally acceptable for they are put to death trusting and without the burden of fear or pride then it would be pointless to not also implement the following things, as they were the dirct results of those newly defined principles:
"1. It sahll be possible for children above three years of age to request their own death, ideally through a standartised document requiring a signature from the child in question, a legal guardian an officail personality like a doctor or a psychologist deemed capable of ruling out that the child is being forced or is acting out of emotional distress or does not properly understand the consequences.
2.Contrary to animals incapable of understanding their circumstances, it is objectively right to say that holding and raising children for industrial goods (meat, leather, cosmetics ect...) and for medical experiments along with expermimentation of other kinds is morally right and should be allowed without any limitations.
3.Even raising children into any kind of slavery is, as long as no unreasonable psychological torture is used, the right thing to do, since legal sourcess of willing slaves are bound to shutdown the international slave trade relying on kidnapping and threats of violence.
4.The decision when to kill those children without further rights is up to thier legal owner. He must however see them put to death at the latest on the day before their 20. birthday for they would become full adults then and those moral presumptions do not aply to their dignity. Also releasing them could upset the demographic balance. Furthermore selling a child as property could otherwise be used to exempt it from the fair chance of death that every child to go throgh.
5.In order to kickstart such enterprises and to grant children their free will the following must happen: Parents must be allowed to give up their children under the age of three into institutions such as mentioned in points 2 and 3. Children above the age of three may voluntarily become the property of someone (Point 2 and 3)if a consent such as described in point 1 is given. This decision must be final and forever.
Acccepting any kind of compensation for arranging such a transfer must be strictly punished by law.
Businesses as described in the points started appearing only 6 months after this document was released.
And so the german university students , all decorated with medal and titles from all the world, finished their masterpiece. Now they could finally rest for a bit.
