Sudden Death

The Kagamine twins were merrily playing at a playground, throwing a ball at each other. Suddenly after catching the ball Rin didn’t throw it back and just stood there dumbfounded.
“What’s wrong?” Len asked worriedly as he came up and held the ball along with Rin.
“It’s so funny”, Rin smiled. “Something just broke in me… so I’m gonna die now”.
“Lol”, Len answered. “Goodbye then”.
He leaned over the ball that became pressed between their bodies to give her a gentle peck on the forehead. It lasted for a mere moment, but what a magical moment it was: Rin fully enjoyed its start and never knew its end. Len felt this magic too as even before he leaned back to see the emptiness in Rin’s eyes he already knew he didn’t have a sister anymore. It was a loving feeling, like when tenderly putting her to sleep, but with extra cozyness of her never waking up.
In another second the body that just belonged to Len’s most precious person collapsed onto the ground in a silly way, eliciting a chuckle from him, and leaving the ball in his hands alone. And so with a light heart Len kicked the corpse out of the way and headed towards other kids in search of new playmates.
