See, you say the story should explain emotions, motivations and logic of the characters… and in principle I agree, which is why my stories, outside of the 100 words ones, consist almost completely of exactly that even to the point of being excessive: it's just overexplaining of the characters' emotions, motivations and logic over and over again, with just some action sprinkled in. But then you go on about how you ignored all of it and assumed something different anyway. Just… ugh.
