Whoof, wow. All guro stories are "idiotic" by default, we ALL have a fetish for idiotic stories except for the actual literal real life rapists who get off on stuff that's actually literally lifelike. Yes, Aoi likes weird logic, and I like it also. I understand Aoi's "fetish for idiotic stories" because I literally share it. Your attempts to parse them through the logic you like better miss the mark entirely and destroy the point of them. THE IRRATIONALITY IS THE ATTRACTIVE PART. Idk man, have you heard that love is irrational or something? It's literally NOT WEIRD.

Non-verbal communication is as real as subtext is, and Marie had every chance to refuse and leave - note the part where she thinks she could just tie the belt onto herself with one hand. She gave continuous consent up to the point AFTER SHE WAS IN THE WATER, I specifically wrote those decision forks. It doesn't "look non-consensual" in-universe because everyone in there ALSO knows she could just walk away at any point. Hell, I specifically mentioned one person chickening out and bolting at the last moment *because that's something Marie could do and everyone involved knew it*.

I like non-verbal communication and I like blanket consent. This series is structured around those. And while blanket consent is an idea that just doesn't work well in real life (as the first two girls Mark met found out in my story), non-verbal communication. Is. Real.

I did a different motivation this time not because I wanted to appeal to you, god no. I just like playing with consent sometimes, and Marie's motivation is just on the edge of what I find sexy - specifically BECAUSE a dare is not actual real coercion and Marie still acted in a way no real life person would.

Taking a dare this seriously is NOT more logical than taking sex and death as games for fun! Maybe you find it less "relatable" or something, but it's literally the other way around for me. I understand people who thrill-seek, and value a significant chance of losing their life lower than the enjoyment they get from the process. Taking that all the way is just a minor step away from reality, into a direction I find sexy. People who take their dares that seriously or are economically coerced or whatever, I want to take gently by hand, lead away from the edge, wrap in a blanket and give hot cocoa, not to mention actual non-consensual situations. It's just not sexy.
