I kind of get this is what you were going for, but the way it came out in the story felt quite off. I would guess it's another thing you spontaneously decided on the spot, so it ended up feeling like a change in attitude coming from nowhere. Or rather in this case from the brother instructing the sister to change her attitude, which is why it also gives off the vibes of roleplaying with AI.
