I wasn't fully happy with it and it visibly shows. I think I probably just need practice describing these kind of things. And as you said, to not shy away from spending more time on describing it.

Let's try to clarify.
Both girls basically undergo the same treatment, and the main differences are in the details of how the react and how he goes about inflicting it on them.
