Well, it was able to write all of that in two steps. The only edits I made was removing some sappy conclusion sentences from the ends and putting the two parts end to end. It is paid, since it makes use of the OpenAI API. So far I've used 43 cents (and I've generated a lot more stuff than just this)…

I had two prompts, one for each "chapter". They are somewhat long prompts to be sure, but this is the easiest time I've had getting a text gen model to understand what I want so far - I only had to regenerate once, with the only change being that I increased the output length.

1. Write a third person narrative story about a boy who is given an unusual homework assignment for his anatomy class, requiring him to partner up with someone willing to be dissected as the subject of study, in order to fill in an accompanying worksheet / log.

This story takes place in a world where even the most grievous mutilation is completely harmless and reversible, and death is unheard of. No explanation of the reasoning for this is needed – the casual attitudes of characters towards dissection and injury speak for themselves in this story.

At home, the boy manages to recruit his sister, who grudgingly obliges to serve as his subject on a makeshift operating table in his bedroom. Detail the dissection process, during which he cuts out and removes her various major organs and catalogs his observations. She insists on leaving her underwear on despite the mess (there is no blood, but plenty of mucous surrounding the organs). She struggles to keep still as she can still feel her insides even after they are separated – the boy also has to secure her heart which almost falls off the table with its untethered beating.

In the end, while reassembling her, disaster strikes as he squeezes the bladder too hard, causing it to leak uncontrollably and sending his sister into a panic as she comically tries to stem the flow, but sending her organs tumbling out of her still-open abdomen, and slipping on unwound intestines and decapitating herself on an object upon landing. Despite this, she is primarily concerned with the mess, and demands that he wash her up before reassembling her further.

2. In the next part, he notices with dismay that one part of the worksheet is unfinished: The male reproductive system. In response, his sister, fresh out of the bath and still healing the cuts in her abdomen and neck, offers to help dissect him for a change, perhaps more as payback than a favor. Her appearance having coaxed an involuntary erection out of him already, she wastes no time in snipping off his package with a pair of nearby scissors before he can react. She describes each piece of anatomy as she further unravels his intimate parts, as much teasing as academic in her tone as she rolls the sensitive pieces in her fingers. Nevertheless, he diligently records to the best of his ability.
