The family, the Smiths, had always been a happy and loving one. John and Sarah Smith had been together since high school and had built a life filled with love and laughter. They were blessed with five beautiful boys, Jake, 15, Nick, 13, Ryan, 11, Eric, 9, and Matthew, 7. The boys were all different in their own way but they shared a strong bond and could never imagine life without each other.

It was a regular Tuesday morning when the principal interrupted the lesson to call all the Smith boys to his office. The boys exchanged worried glances as they made their way to the principal's office, wondering what trouble they could have possibly gotten into. But when they arrived, they were greeted with the most devastating news they could never have imagined.

'Boys, I'm sorry to tell you this, but your parents were in a car accident this morning. They didn't make it,' said the principal with a somber tone.

The boys were in shock, their world seemed to crumble down around them in that moment. The eldest, Jake, tried to hold back his tears as he asked, 'What do you mean they didn't make it? Where are they?'

'I'm afraid they passed away. But, there are certain laws in our society. Children under the age of 17, who have lost both of their parents, must be snuffed,' the principal explained.

The boys couldn't believe what they were hearing. They had lost their parents and now they were being told that they had to die too? It couldn't be real.

'No! This can't be happening. We're just kids, we have our whole lives ahead of us. Why are you doing this?' Nick cried out, his eyes filled with tears.

'Please, we promise we'll take care of each other. We can't lose our family, not like this,' Ryan pleaded, clinging onto his younger brother's hand.

The principal's expression remained stern as he replied, 'I understand your pain, but the law is the law. You must join your parents in death.'

The boys were then forcefully stripped of their clothes and their hands tied behind their backs. They were then brought to a small clearing in the school grounds where a chopping block was placed. The younger boys stood in shock, their eyes filled with fear, while the older boys fought against the restraints, determined to not give up without a fight.

The principal then approached each of the boys, looking into their eyes and saying, 'I'm sorry, boys. You don't deserve this, but I have no choice. You will join your parents in death.'

As each boy was forced to his knees and held in place, they begged and pleaded for their lives. They were virgins, they had never experienced love or even had a chance to live their lives. But their cries fell on deaf ears as the principal picked up an ax and with a single swipe, beheaded each one of them.

Jake was the first to go, his thoughts filled with regret for not being able to save his family. Nick followed, his last thoughts of his parents and how much he would miss them. Ryan's thoughts were on how much he loved his brothers and how he wished he could stay with them forever. Eric, with tears streaming down his face, only thought of his parents and how much he missed them already. And lastly, Matthew, the youngest of the brothers, thought of how scared he was, but also how much he trusted his family to take care of him, even in death.

The principal apologized to each boy before he killed them, telling them that he was sorry but he didn't have a choice. He reminded them that they were lucky to join their parents and not have to face the pain of losing them. But to the brothers, there was no comfort in dying and leaving each other behind.

As the boys watched each other die, their thoughts and feelings were filled with sadness, fear, and anger. They couldn't understand why they had to die, why their lives were being taken away from them. And as they felt the excruciating pain of their deaths, their thoughts were only of their family, the ones they loved the most.

The death of the Smith brothers was a tragic and painful event, one that left their classmates and the entire community in shock. But for the five young boys, it was a fate that they never saw coming. And as they were laid to rest beside their parents, they were finally together as a family, even in death.
