That's not a bad comparison to what I was thinking here. And I will say that some of your themes have rubbed off on the idea here. The whole casual side to snuff and it being fun... But that's only part of it for me.

They don't look at this as a punishment, or an ending. They are ok with it because this is how they contribute to the society. (Or The Community as I've 'named' it) It's a purpose and a goal in their life to be able to contribute and so if that contribution is the be snuffed to make more available to others, then they should embrace that. Even if only in a 'reluctant' fashion.
