It occurse to me that there is a loose thread that could be used by someone to continue this story a bit, either with jack or with Rosie's Dad:

"Yeah?" He looked at Mark.
"If you ever feel like having some more fun, I've got a few more girls. I probably won't have time to take care of them without Jess anyway."
"I'll think about that." Jack smiled.
"You know where I live."

Jack got into the car and drove off."
