I don't normally like it when it's only a male getting snuffed, but with how casual and well you utilised the descriptions that you used I really enjoyed it.

It really shows to me that you're great at your craft and that you needn't worry about how your writing has evolved overtime.

(What I'm trying to say is that I really enjoyed the story and I think that you shouldn't be depressed about the differences between your different stories.)
