"Mom, Mom, Mom, have you heard? Have you heard?"
Wearing a brightly colored tank top and denim shorts, her white sneakers pounding against the tiles, nine-year-old Becky stormed into the kitchen, her long dark braid flying behind her. Mel shook her head in amusement and planted her hands on her hips. Her daughter was flushed with excitement, cheeks glowing red, hair plastered to her forehead. She must have run half the way home.
Before Mel could answer, Bobby came around the corner. Dropping his schoolbag with an annoyed sigh, he shook a few blond strands from his forehead.
"Of course, she’s heard. What do you think? Right, Mom?"
Mel raised a calming hand.
"Now, both of you, calm down and take off your shoes."
They obeyed at once. Bobby kicked his shoes off in the hallway, while Becky plopped down on the kitchen floor, tugging her white sneakers from her bare feet. Still breathless, she looked up at her mother and burst out:
"But you already know, don’t you? About Sam."
Melanie swallowed as a cold wave rushed through her chest again.
These are my only children now. Samantha isn’t coming back
Still, she managed to summon a smile for her daughter.
"Yes, Becky, I know your sister is dead. Her principal, Mrs. Gibson, called a few hours ago."
Then she turned to her son, who stood barefoot in the doorway with his arms casually folded. With every passing day, he looked more and more like his father, she thought and the realization made her smile despite herself.
"It sounds like you had quite a morning at recess."
The teenager rolled his eyes and puffed out his cheeks.
"Ain’t that the truth! I barely got a piece. It was such a crush! Everyone wanted a piece of her."
As he pulled his T-shirt over his head, revealing his physique, toned from regular exercise, he continued.
"I was lucky I got two more rolls. Both with ham, I think. Really delicious! That's how I always imagined her."
At the memory, he licked his lips and grinned from ear to ear. Melanie chuckled, amused. But then she narrowed her eyes and gave him an admonishing look.
"I hope you gave one to your sister."
Bobby seemed almost offended.
"Of course, Mom, what do you take me for?"
Becky had meanwhile stood up and was gathering her shoes. Her mother gave her a questioning look. As her son slowly pulled down his pants, she asked her little daughter:
"So, did you like them, sweetheart?"
The girl's eyes lit up. With an enthusiastic nod, she replied:
"She was so great, Mom. But I wish I could have had one of her breasts."
Melanie gave her child a sympathetic look. Her naivety was charming, she thought. Of course, she knew that a girl's breast meat, just like the cunt filet, was always the first thing to go over the counter, especially in a cafeteria as crowded as Midtown Middle School. And so, she replied regretfully, running her hand through the little girl's sweaty hair:
"Well, I guess they were among the first to go. Weren't they?"
Bobby, who was hooking his thumbs into the waistband of his underwear, nodded. And as he pulled the unwanted garment off his body and then crumpled it up, he continued:
"Yeah, I saw Tommy Flanagan get one of them. He was so proud. He showed it off to everyone. Even though she didn't really have much to offer in that regard."
Melanie, who had just been biting her lip in admiration at the sight of her naked son, now frowned and shook her head angrily.
"Bobby, can't you stop teasing your sister even when she's dead?"
The grin on the boy's lips froze and was replaced by an embarrassed expression. For a few seconds, he chewed on his lower lip, and crumpled his shirt in front of his chest.
"Sorry, Mom."
"I thought her breasts were nice."
Little Becky seemed almost crestfallen at her words, so her mother pulled her close and gave her a tight squeeze. She lovingly kissed her hair and murmured:
"They were beautiful!"
She gave her son, who was still standing in the doorway with an embarrassed expression, a smile and reached out to him. Bobby didn't hesitate for long, stepped over to the two of them, and joined in the hug. Mel ran her hand down his naked body and gently kneaded his bottom, which made him chuckle and peck her on the cheek. But it wasn't long before little Becky stirred, wrinkling her nose.
"You smell."
Her brother rolled his eyes.
"I'm already on my way to the shower, you pain."
"Be nice you two, you only have each other now!"
For a moment, Mel's eyes flashed with sadness, but then, to ease the tension, she conjured a smile onto her lips and sighed.
"In any case, I'm glad you liked her so much. That would have made her very proud."
Bobby nodded eagerly. You could see that the boy truly meant it when he said:
"Yes, she was amazing, simply incredible! Buttery soft and as sweet as honey. Her meat tasted even better... than Chloe’s did back then."
His mother raised her eyebrows in surprise. She hadn't expected that, but before she could respond, his little sister was already grinning cheekily at him and starting to sing.
"Bobby and Chloe! Bobby and Chloe...!"
Her big brother was just about to grab her. With a frown, he reached out and called:
"Stop it, you...!"
But the little girl had already slipped away with a laugh, darting out of the kitchen and down the hallway, most likely racing for the bathroom before him. Bobby came to an abrupt halt when his mother’s voice cut in.
“Bobby!”
She had deliberately spoken in a soft tone, but clear enough to stop him in his tracks. Embarrassed, he turned back to her. Mel smiled gently as she stepped closer, wrapping her arms around his neck. Almost instinctively, he rested his hands on her hips. For a brief moment, mother and son simply looked into each other’s eyes.
He’s as tall as I am now. Time really does fly
"Hey, you don't have to be ashamed of your feelings. Your cousin was a charming girl. I can understand why you were so in love with her."
A sheepish smile played on his lips, and his cheeks flushed. His mother chuckled.
"And she was absolutely delicious. Both grilled and alive."
"Mooom..."
An annoyed eye roll, accompanied by a faint smile, was the response to her words. But she just shrugged.
"What? Can you blame me for trying her a few times? You raved about her so much. I just wanted to know what she was like. And you were right, she was a firecracker in bed."
She wouldn't have believed it, but her son blushed even redder. He lowered his gaze and stared at his feet. His mother placed her fingertip under his chin, lifted his head again, and gave him a quick peck on the lips.
"But for you to say your sister tasted even better is a great compliment for Sam. One she would have loved to hear from you."
She meant her words sincerely, even though she wished Bobby and Samantha had gotten along a little better when she was still alive. Yes, the two had sex, quite often. But when they weren't in bed together, they often bickered the whole time. Now, however, she could see in her son’s eyes that he would miss his little sister. And his next words confirmed her suspicions.
" It feels strange without her."
"I know."
Melanie sighed, but she didn't want to let the mood turn too somber. So she kissed her son again, a little longer this time, and even let her tongue play between his lips for a second. But then she ran her fingers through his wet hair, ruffled his hairstyle, and stepped back. A quick glance told her that his handsome cock was already at half-mast.
"I love you, my boy. Now go and freshen up, especially if you want to stay naked again. And remember, no sex before homework, that goes for masturbating too."
She had to chuckle when he gave her a pained look.
"Mooom!"
But then he seemed to understand that she meant it. Because he grabbed his dropped clothes and backpack and shuffled off toward the bathroom. His mother watched him for a moment. Then she leaned against the kitchen counter and stared thoughtfully into space for a moment. And suddenly, a passage from an old children’s book came to mind, one that she used to read aloud to Samantha.
And then there were just two…
