I have to say, I went back and reread it and there were definitely some nice lore elements that I missed the first time. I missed the line about Paula providing great food, and the obvious suggestion that she was the meal. It didn't really click until I reread the cast. Same with Laura being both the daughter and the bride. Both are wonderful ideas, along with the divorce ritual. But it feels like they're a bit to rushed. They're spoken of very nonchalantly, as if it's not special by the characters. Which it might not be in their world, but as a reader taking a glimpse of the world I would want to know more. I think that's what generally pulls me out of the immersion of the Sidneyverse, it's just a bit too casual for me to really appreciate the characters.

But as always, this is just my opinion and you should really write whatever makes you happy. And thanks again for writing! But yeah, I'd love to know more about the divorce ritual, how Laura came to be the new wife, and what this means for Peter. I'd also love to know why it's better to have Natalie as the meal, as opposed to any other meat girl and if her relationship with her mother is unusual in any way or is commonplace in the world. Oh, and what kind of smut writer is the mom? It strikes me that she could be writing loli incest using her daughter as inspiration. =D
