I'm really happy to hear that Stephanie is subtly trying to talk Natalie out of volunteering. It provides an interesting conflict of interests and shows that she really cares about her daughter. On the one hand, she loves her brother and niece and allowed them to ask Natalie to be meat. She also respects Natalie to make this decision and acknowledges it was her dream at Natalie's age too. But on the other hand, she loves her daughter and doesn't want to lose her company. I also detected the bit where it seems she is slightly jealous of Natalie's crush on Peter.

I'm very interested to see where this all goes and who cracks first emotionally. With Natalie's childish determination, I don't think it will be her. But if Stephanie breaks down crying realizing she doesn't want to lose Natalie, that all of her smut fiction pales to the reality of it actually happening to someone you care about, that would be quite something and something I don't think I've seen yet in Dolcett writings, and IMO would really add to her character. But this just be my interpretation and wishful thinking.

The content of Stephanie's stories is a useful tool to show her inner thoughts and personality. We know she's a successful smut writer but not much more than that or what she actually writes about. That reveal, or more probably the secret smut she writes for herself and husband, could play a good narrative role in the story. I don't think it was suggested that she writes snuff or anything potentially controversial yet. So whatever it is could come as an actual shock to Natalie, that could drive the story a bit, and who was potentially never allowed to read the full thing. Mom's gotta mom after all.

Maybe a suggestion? You don't have to be snuffed to have your meat harvested. Her breasts and fillet are the good bits and she can survive without them and they would still make for a memorable wedding gift. The idea of a meat girl having her filet removed and presented to her so she can see it from a new angle and cherish it as other people would, is a bit of a kink for me. And perhaps the newly weds would be magnanimous to provide Natalie a taste of the meat as well. On a side note though, I dislike regeneration and revival mechanics. They remove any sense of sacrifice, finality, sentiment, and value in the meat. Well, that's how I feel about it anyways.
