Desperately Seeking Sidney
By
Edward Hyde

Prologue

“Who are you doing your project on?” Suzanne asked excitedly as she and her friends filed out of the classroom along with the rest of the class. “I’m going to do mine on Marie Curie!”

“I’m doing mine on Taylor Swift!” Chloe grinned. “First woman president of the United States!”

“Great choice!” Suzanne beamed. “What about you?” she turned to Jennifer. It was the last day of Spring term and the Year Six class of the exclusive girls’ preparatory school were on their way home for the Easter holiday. As homework over the two week break, they had been assigned a research project on the topic “Woman Who Changed the World” and would be expected to make a presentation on their chosen subject when they returned for the Summer term, with the promise of a prize for the best one.

“I’m doing Sidney Roebuck!” the sweet eleven year old with gently curled, light
brown hair smiled.

“Who’s that?” Chloe asked. “Sounds like a politician?”

“No!” giggled Jennifer. “Sidney Roebuck, as in Sidney’s restaurant?”

“Oooh right!” Suzanne laughed. “The girl in the cowboy hat? I thought she was just a mascot? I didn’t know they’d given her a last name!”

“They didn’t give it to her, whoever They are!” Jennifer rolled her eyes, making air-quotes around the pronoun, “She was a real person! She came up with the whole idea of making eating girls legal and her dad named the restaurant after her!”

“Not sure if she’s someone to be celebrated!” Chloe stuck out her tongue. Although legal for more than fifty years, cannibalism was still not universally accepted, although everyone did know at least one girl who had been eaten, even if they had not partaken themselves. “Pretty sure I heard my parents discussing with my grandparents that I would make a great Christmas dinner this year!”

“And don’t you think you would?” Jennifer teased. “With those tasty drumsticks of yours?” She playfully flipped up one side of her friend’s uniform skirt exposing her toned thighs at the top of her long, shapely legs. All three girls giggled together. Chloe saw her mum waiting by the car and waved to her. “Okay, gotta go!” she grinned to her friends. “Have a great holiday!”

“So would you… You know!” Suzanne giggled once their other friend was gone and the two of them were left to wait for their parents.

“I don’t know!” Jennifer admitted. “I don’t think so, not really, but loads of girls do so there must be something to it…” She looked off into the distance a little dreamily as she often did when deep in thought. “But with Sidney, well, it’s different now, isn’t it? The idea is out there! But when she was growing up it was a total taboo, something that only happened in horror movies or something for the hero in a fairy tale to escape from. What makes someone wake up one day and decide they want to be eaten? Especially when their whole culture tells them it’s a bad thing!”

“Yeah when you put it like that…” Suzanne nodded. “My Grandma told me when it all started and the first Sidney’s opened here, people thought it was just weird marketing and it wasn’t really human flesh, as she called it, being served.” Both girls giggled at the old-fashioned expression. “Lots of people thought it was just fantasy, like when people at renaissance fairs sell dragon or unicorn burgers!”

“I guess that misunderstanding didn’t last long!” Jennifer chuckled. “Not once people started going to Sidney’s and seeing the girls getting cooked!”

“Have you ever been?” Suzanne asked, curiously. Recruiters visited their school once a year and one had even come to give a talk to her Brownie pack a year or so ago and of course she had seen the adverts but she had never actually set food inside a Sidney’s restaurant.

“No.” Jennifer shook her head. “We’ve had girl-meat from the butcher a few times and when my aunt got married her husband’s little sister was spit-roasted like a hog-roast at their wedding but I’ve never been to a Sidney’s before.”

“What is it like?” Suzanne asked, her eyes wide and sparkling with curiosity. “My mum refuses to buy it! Says she doesn’t want me getting ideas!” The pair giggled again then Jennifer looked thoughtful once more, pondering her answer.

“It tastes pretty much like pork,” she gave her considered response, “but with the texture of chicken or turkey. It’s really good! I’m going to ask my parents to take me to Sidney’s over the weekend!”

“To have a meal or to be on the menu?” Suzanne giggled.

“To have a meal, of course!” Jennifer stuck her tongue out at her friend. “I thought it would be a great way to start my research!” Just then, Jennifer’s mum pulled up in the car and, after checking that someone was coming for Suzanne and that she didn’t need a ride, Jennifer kissed her friend on the cheek and got into the car.

Chapter One

“Am I dressed okay?” Jennifer’s mum asked, smoothing down the front of her dress which was pretty but nothing special and fairly far from formal.

“You look great!” her husband who was dressed in slacks and a nice shirt assured her, kissing her on the cheek. “Almost good enough to eat!” She narrowed her eyes and glared at him then gave him a playful slap on the shoulder.

“I think I’m a bit on the old side for that!” she retorted. “But seriously, I don’t really know what kind of place it is? I don’t want to over-do it but don’t really want to be shown up either!”

“What you’re wearing is just fine, Mummy!” Jennifer smiled sweetly, shoving a hardback notebook and a couple of pens into her purse. She was wearing the same silver dress she had worn to the school disco at Christmas, pleased to find that it still fit nicely, even if the extra inches she had gained in the last few months made it quite a bit shorter than it had been originally. She had thought about wearing tights underneath but it was too warm an evening and she really did not mind showing her legs! The style of the dress, with its thin straps and bare shoulders, meant she could not wear a bra or any other kind of top underneath but she didn’t mind that either, although the way her parents, especially her dad, seemed to make a point of avoiding looking at her chest where her cute, firm little tit buds tented the fabric amused her – it was as if their little girl becoming a woman made them very uncomfortable and if they refused to “notice”, then they would not have to acknowledge it for a little while longer!

“Seriously,” she smiled reassuringly, “it’s a place where people dress nice but not too fancy, just like, I don’t know, a Harvester or Olive Garden? That sort of place! I think they do have special black tie events sometimes but most of the time people just dress like they would to go to a friend’s birthday party.”

“Well, you’re the expert!” her mum chuckled.

“I hope to be!” grinned Jennifer.

“Oh yes, I forgot!” her dad teased, reaching out to ruffle her hair but thinking better of it, stopping himself just in time as he remembered how much time she had spent on it and how she would definitely not thank him for messing it up. “Tonight’s meal is strictly for research purposes to help with your homework!”

“Did you check the battery?” Jennifer’s mum asked her.

“Yup, and got a spare!” the sensible young girl smiled. Since this was more than just a written project and she would be required to make a presentation of it when she went back to school, Jennifer had thought it would be a good idea to have photographs and video clips she could use. While her phone would have provided this facility capably enough, she wanted everything to seem a little more professional and to be as high quality as possible so she had asked her parents if she could borrow their digital camera. In order to avoid any awkwardness, her dad had asked the Sidney’s receptionist about it at the time he made the booking and was told that as long as she did not try to access any areas off limits to the public, did not get in the way of the smooth running of the restaurant or bother other diners, keeping them out of her footage as much as possible for their own privacy, Jennifer was welcome to take photos and video while they were there. She also let them know about a history section on their website which she might find useful for her project and also the assorted books that were available in the restaurant’s gift-shop along with the other souvenirs, many of which were made from the body-parts of meat-girls. Jennifer was excited about this and had gathered together the money she’d saved from her birthday and Christmas.

“We’re a bit early, do you think that’s okay?” Jennifer’s mum asked a little uncertainly as they pulled into the Sidney’s parking lot, the car’s clock showing there was still more than half an hour before their reservation time.

“It’s fine!” her husband assured her. “It will give Jen a chance to look around, make her notes and take pictures and stuff in the lobby before we go in!” The managed to find a space quite close to the doors and, as she happily skipped up the marble-white stone steps to the rather grand glass doors, Jennifer wondered whether this was the same way girls who were going to be cooked arrived or whether there was a separate entrance for meat deliveries.

Stepping inside, Jennifer gasped. The room she found herself in was vast and far more like the lobby of a grand hotel or even the floor of somewhere like Caesar’s Palace in Vegas like she had seen in the movies then the simple reception area she had imagined. The room was rectangular, slightly longer than it was wide, but with a domed, glass ceiling giving it a cathedral-like quality as well as adding to the impression of size. In front of her was a curved desk, currently manned by a single young woman but with two computer terminals. At the back of the room was a large marble staircase which split off at the top to a balcony which ran all the way around the edge of the atrium-like room and seemed to have doorways to other room and areas beyond. On the left-hand side of the staircase were some discrete toilets and on the right was an alcove that Jennifer was fairly sure contained an elevator.

On either side of the staircase, filling the wall space between it and the large doors on either side which led out of the lobby were display cabinets filled with Sidney memorabilia and information about the girl and her campaign – these would definitely be useful for her project! On the left hand side, at the end of the row of cabinet, were a set of double doors with a larger than life cartoon Sidney leaning on the frame to one side and the word “Deliveries” marked above – this was clearly where the meat-girls would go to begin their preparation! Jennifer wondered whether the doors led straight to the kitchens or perhaps to some sort of waiting room and wondered if she would be allowed to take a look. Perhaps, she wondered, she could ask later if the staff didn’t seem to busy. The equivalent door on the right was an open archway which led into the main dining room, flanked on either side with Greco-Roman style statues of naked girls perhaps a little older than herself but with the playful touch of having meat-cuts marked on their spectacular young bodies. Crowning the arch was a gleaming golden S just like the one in the restaurant logo claimed to be modelled on Sidney’s own autograph, although Jennifer had heard that Walt Disney’s famous signature had been designed for him by a marketing team and that he was not even particularly good at signing it himself and could not help wondering how genuine Sidney’s was. Either side of this letter, marble girls aged maybe eight or nine were depicted climbing the curves of the arch and reaching out towards it.

Beside this entrance was a waving Sidney animatronic so lifelike that Jennifer assumed it at first to be a real girl hired to stand there in costume as a sort of greeter. It was only when she noticed how repetitive her movements were that she realised what she was really looking at. Behind this figure was some sort of information board which she could not read from where she stood but made a mental note to take a picture of later. The majority of the wall beyond that was taken up with an ornate fountain like one Jennifer had seen pictures of in Rome, with white marble girls of assorted ages arranged like playful nymphs around the various rocky formations and, as a centre-piece, raised on a dais at the back, was a bronze Sidney, one hand on her hip and the other touching the brim of her had in what had become dubbed “The Sidney Salute”, larger than life but not by much, just enough to make sure she stood out from the other girls. Between the fountain and the front wall with the large doors through which she had come were just two, nondescript wooden doors such as might be seen in any modern office marked “Private”. She also noticed a similar, smaller door to the right of the big glass entrance and surmised that it was how the staff and anyone else who needed access would come and go while the building was locked up and the shutters down.

The middle of the room, behind the desk but in front of the staircase, was filled with display racks and plinths in a circular formation to form the gift shop. There was no visible checkout so Jennifer assumed that customers were expected to pay at the reception counter.

“Go on!” her mum smiled, patting her gently on the backside, “Go explore! We’ll get checked in and come find you when it’s time to go in!” They approached the reception desk while the excited young girl wondered where to start, opting to explore the gift shop first. There were the usual selection of key rings, magnets pens and pencils with the Sidney’s branding on them, mostly variations of the iconic S or depictions of Sidney’s famous hat and/or boots, the kinds of thing that would be found in any theme park or museum gift shop, but there were also more expensive pieces that were far more exclusive! In a glass cabinet, Jennifer admired some beautiful jewellery, mostly necklaces and earrings, made from highly polished finger and toe bones. There were also bookmarks, wallets and woven wrist-bands made from girl-skin leather. Intrigued by these, Jennifer decided to treat herself to one of these leather bracelets which was dyed pink.

Far more shocking and exciting, however, were the preserved heads! Beautiful, smiling girls between the ages of six and sixteen, their heads and faces frozen in time while their bodies were long ago eaten and digested! She knew that these were the girls who were either butchered for their meat in the kitchen or boiled in the stew pot. There were two main types – decorative trophies to be hung on the wall, mounted on polished wooden plaques with a golden S at the bottom, and the ones that were described as “Happy Endings”, free-standing on gold-plastic bases which Jennifer knew were intended to be enjoyed in other ways! She wondered if the girls the heads had belonged to had any say in which type they ended up as or whether it came down to the whims of the taxidermist?

Although most were natural-looking, their glass eyes replicating those they had in life, there was a section with heads of both kinds that had been themed to a number of fantasy and sci-fi styles. There were girls with bright red eyes and vampire fangs, some with elongated, pointed elf ears, even some where the skin had been dyed other, unnatural colours such as green, blue or bright pink, augmented with alien-like antennae, snake-like eyes, ears of all shapes and sizes and assorted other exotic features! There were also hands of various sizes and skin-colors that could be posed into different shapes. Jennifer picked one up and played with it a little, manipulating it into the Vulcan salute. She checked the price and found it surprisingly reasonable. Deciding that the hand which was a similar size to her own and has pretty, well-manicured nails would make a nice decoration on her desk in her bedroom, she decided to take it. It seemed odd at first that something which had once been part of a living girl would be so relatively cheap to buy but then she thought about how many girls were butchered at Sidney’s every day, not to mention other independent butchers and abattoirs the company may have deals with and realised that girl hands were really not something rare or precious, barely more than a waste product which it was nice they had found a use for!

“There’s boxes for those!” a young woman in uniform whose job it was to make sure all guests in the lobby were okay and to answer any questions they might have smiled at her, coming over to check on the young shopper. She leant down and retrieved an empty box from under the display rack, metallic, glittery pink with the Sidney’s log in gold across the lid. Smiling gratefully, Jennifer curved the fingers inwards somewhat and set the hand into the padded satin lining of the box. “Are you still shopping?” the woman asked. “I can get you a basket?” Jennifer accepted this offer gratefully. “Just let me know when you’re done!” the woman smiled, handing her a white mesh shopping basket with three wire rings to keep its shape. “I can ring you up at reception!” With another smile, she left her to her shopping and Jennifer continued to explore.

One thing that had definitely been on her list of things she hoped to find was a good biography of Sidney Roebuck that could serve as a basis for her project and presentation. There had been many over the years of course, some by journalists, some by historians and some people who had known her, authorised and unauthorised, with some painting a more positive picture of her short life and world-changing campaign than others but she was hoping that what was for sale in the Sidney’s gift-shop would be accurate and definitive. There were copies of “EAT ME – The Sidney Roebuck Story” which had been published shortly after her twelfth birthday which had also been the day she got her wish. As the first proper biography of Sidney it was still considered one of the best so Jennifer added it to her basket but also found herself drawn to one called “A Taste of Sidney” by a woman named Martha who had been head of Sidney’s campaign, appointed by her billionaire father Orin Roebuck and who had gone on to oversee the marketing of the Sidney’s restaurants for the first fifteen years of their operation until she had retired. This book promised a more intimate portrait of the girl, the human behind the icon, with plenty of anecdotes and reminiscences to flesh out the facts of her biography. Martha had known Sidney probably better than anyone else in the world, especially in her last few years, and Jennifer supposed that these two books in tandem would give her a better, more rounded understanding of the famous girl.

As well as the two hardback biographies, she picked up a glossy, A4 paperback, more of a thick magazine than a book really, which reproduced every poster, billboard, magazine advert, flyer and any other print media from Sidney’s campaign with small paragraphs of commentary to give context. It also contained facsimiles of magazine articles from that time and interviews with Sidney herself that had been published. Jennifer had seen a lot of it online of course but having a physical copy was nice and would be very useful in her research!

There were hats and boots of assorted quality, from cheap fancy-dress sets through decent but clearly mass-produced pleather alternatives which probably would not last all that long but would look great for a party or other event, all the way up to expensive, authentic pieces identical to those worn by Sidney herself! These seemed fun and it struck Jennifer that she could wear them to make her presentation, or for any direct-to-camera linking pieces she filmed for the accompanying video, even if she didn’t feel confident going fully nude besides the accessories and would likely pair them with a bikini or nice leotard. She checked the price of the real, top quality items and gave a low whistle, realising that she could have afforded either the hat or the boots but certainly not both and then only if she put everything else back! The mid-range set were designed to be affordable and would certainly be good enough for her purposes! The question was, what colour to pick? In publicity material, Sidney the mascot was nearly always depicted in pink, other than for specific occasions – red with white fur trim, for example, or red, white and blue for fourth of July, but the real Sidney had worn the outfit in a wide array of colours and a simple flick through the glossy book in Jennifer’s basket would confirm! While the real pieces were available in the full range of colours and the cheap costume pieces only in pink with glued-on plastic rhinestones, the mid-range boot and hat sets she was eyeing came in pink, white or silver, all with a slightly metallic sheen.

“Need some help picking?” the young woman who had provided her with the basket asked with a cheerful grin, having completed her rounds of the lobby and returned to check on the young shopper. Jennifer had put down her basket and was trying on the pink and white hats in front of the provided mirror, switching between them and frowning a little.

“Yeah!” she admitted. “Which do you think?”

“Well…” the helpful young woman stood behind her, taking both the hats from her and hovering each over her head in turn, switching back and forth between the two and looking thoughtful. “The white, I think!” She declared after thirty seconds or so, setting the white Stetson down on her head. “Suits your colouring best!” Looking in the mirror, Jennifer realised that she was right. The whiteness of the hat provided a nice contrast to her brown hair and golden-brown tan. She beamed gratefully at the young woman. “So,” the assistant asked, glancing down at her basket, “guess you’re quite a fan of Sidney?” Excitedly, Jennifer explained about her project and how she and her parents were there not only to enjoy a delicious meal but to help with her research. “Wow! That sounds awesome!” the young woman gushed. “Hey, if you don’t mind waiting a minute, I think I have something for you!”

Promising not to wander off while the assistant was gone, Jennifer wondered excitedly what she would come back with! While she waited, she browsed the rest of the shelves, looking at the dolls, ornaments, colouring books and other assorted souvenirs, exchanging polite smiles with other customers who passed through including a young couple clearly on a date who giggled together at the hands and heads which were clearly meant for intimate purposes. She did not have to wait long before the young woman returned with her hands behind her back and an excited grin on her face.

“Okay, so,” she began, “every so often we have these promos where every visitor or group gets a free gift of some sort, usually around Sidney’s birthday, and there’s always a few left over each time so we keep them in the back and give them out if local schools or charities ask us for raffle prizes or if we think someone would especially enjoy them and, since you’re doing a project all about Sidney, I think you definitely need these!” She produced the items from behind her back with a flourish and handed them to Jennifer who took them with curious gratitude.

The items in question were a slim, yellow-covered book and a double CD in a folded cardboard case. Both had the cheap feel of something that came free with a newspaper or in a promotional pack of some food or drink but it was the content that was important and the sentiment behind them. Jennifer felt very touched that this young woman would want to help her project and had gone to the trouble of fetching these intriguing bonuses for her. The book, she realised with delight, was a facsimile of the famous book of cannibal jokes, originally published in the 1970s and containing a mixture of written jokes and crudely drawn cartoons, which Sidney had credited in many interviews with inspiring her campaign. The introduction and forward added to this edition explained that it was republished to celebrate what would have been Sidney’s sixtieth birthday. Jennifer had been hoping to gain some insight into Sidney’s mind, to gain a deeper understanding of her thought process and what drove her towards her goal and this book would certainly help with that! Thanking the young woman profusely, she then turned her attention to the CD. This had apparently been a promo to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the opening of the first Sidney’s. While physical CDs, like their DVD counterparts, weren’t very popular any more, Jennifer knew there were still people who liked to collect them and they made for good promotional freebies.

The front cover showed a Sidney lookalike, although clearly not the girl herself, from the waist up in the foreground on the left hand side, performing the “Sidney salute”. A line of other girls in Sidney costume trailed away behind her. Jennifer opened the double CD out and saw that this motif continued on the back and that the girl was in fact in the middle of a V-shaped formation of Sidney’s dancers, the young girls who performed naked or in next to nothing on the stage in the restaurant to help the diners build up an appetite for girl-meat! Being a member of one of these troupes was quite prestigious and, although a lot of the girls ended up wanting to end their careers on the spit or in the oven, those who did not often went on to great things once they aged out! A lot of professional dancers and choreographers and even singers had started out as Sidney’s dancers! The back cover advertised a bonus gift – “FREE DIGITAL DOWNLOAD” it announced. “Kinky Boots – Behind the Scenes! Includes Full Music Video!” Below this was a website address and a silver strip which could be scratched off to reveal a unique code underneath. Jennifer was familiar with the cover version of the 1960s novelty song which had formed part of Sidney’s campaign and she looked forward to learning more about it!

The inside showed the track listings, superimposed over a picture of the dancers from behind this time, their arms around each other’s shoulders. Each disc contained twenty tracks that were what Jennifer supposed to be the most popular of the licensed songs, covers and specially arranged medleys the different troupes across Britain and America danced to. A quick glance showed that they followed a vaguely seasonal pattern with music specific to springtime, Summer, Halloween and Christmas in that order interspersed with more generic tracks that would work at any time. Seeing the Sidney’s dancers perform was something she was really looking forward to and she hoped she would be allowed to film.

“Thank you so much!” Jennifer enthused again. “This is so kind of you and will definitely help my project!”

“My absolute pleasure!” the helpful young woman replied with genuine sincerity. “Are you done shopping? I can get you rung up if you’re ready?”

“Yes, please!” Jennifer nodded, following the young woman to the counter where her parents were waiting and hoping she still had enough time to explore the exhibition. What she had taken as a second reception computer was actually a till and soon all her purchases had been rung in.

“Would you like to leave them here while you eat?” the young woman asked as she packed Jennifer’s haul, including the freebies, into sturdy pink paper bags with golden string handles. “You can collect them afterwards.” Jennifer glanced at her parents who nodded, agreeing that it was a good idea, and confirmed to her new friend. “Right! Will that be cash or card?” the young woman smiled. Jennifer took out her wad of cash and paid proudly, putting the diminished remnants back in her purse. The young woman pressed a couple of buttons on the till and three receipt slips printed out. She handed one to Jennifer and took the other two, one with “1 of 2” and the other with “2 of 2” in bold font at the top and stapled them around the handles of the shopping bags.

“Oh great, you’re here!” a young man in the same polo shirt uniform as the women came out of the dining area and made a beeline for Jennifer and her family.

“Oh! Is our table ready?” the young girl asked. “I thought we had another ten minutes or so?”

“Well not quite!” the young man grinned, clasping his hands together in excitement, “But we put a fresh batch of girl on at the carvery just before you arrived and a little bird might have told them about your project and they said it’s fine if you want to film them cooking! But also,” his grin broadened, “we’ve just shut the carvery ready for the dancers so you have about five minutes if you want to go talk to the young lady in the pot? She’s happy to do a little interview for your project if you want?”

“Oh wow, really!” Jennifer exclaimed. “Can I Mummy? Daddy?”

“Go on!” her dad chuckled. “Have fun and we’ll see you at the table in a bit!”

“Care to accompany me, m’lady?” the young man held out his elbow and, giggling, Jennifer took it and allowed him to escort her past the waving animatronic and through the ornate arch into the dining room.

If she had been impressed by the lobby, the main dining room was something else entirely! The ornate walls with the Greco-Roman alcoves were the same white as the lobby with the carpet and seat cushions a deep pink. The frames of the chairs and any railings were polished brass so shiny it looked like gold. Some of the empty alcoves had mirrored backs which Jennifer took to suggest they could actually be windows through which wealthy diners in the exclusive private dining rooms could watch the dancers and the girls in the public cooking area without being seen by the general public below. Some of the other alcoves were empty but in some stood living girls, painted white like marble statues and either completely naked or draped with strips of white chiffon.

As soon as she saw what was on the other side of the wall from the fountain, Jennifer felt incredibly foolish for not having guessed! It was one of the most photographed parts of the restaurant after all, especially popular among the younger guests with plenty of little girls wanting to be photographed in front of it! It was the mermaid lagoon, a beautiful pool which presumably shared the same water as the fountain, about a meter and a half deep with a glass front so allow diners to see under the water and an artificial rock formation rising up the middle at the back, where the bronze Sidney statue was in the lobby. It was not the pool itself, however, that was the main attraction but rather the four beautiful mermaids who occupied it – toned, athletic young girls, aged approximately ten to thirteen, wearing artificial mermaid tails which left their lovely rumps and vulvae exposed, with long, flowing wigs in colours which matched their tails. They swam about in the water or lounged on the rocks and generally showed off to the diners, chatting happily with some of the younger girls who took them for the real thing!

Dominating the centre of the room was another bronze Sidney statue but this one was twenty feet tall or more and slowly rotating on its plinth. She was posed with one hand on her hip and the other holding a platter on which a life-size version of herself was portrayed as a roast piggy, complete with apple in her mouth but still wearing her trademark hat and boots! Around the bottom of the statue, at the edge of the rotating plinth serving the dual role of ornamentation and a fence to keep the diners away from the mechanism, stood a circle of life-size naked bronze girls of different ages and body-types but none coming past the larger figure’s knees, their arms around each other’s waists and looking up in awe at their hero Sidney.

At the back of the room were doors which led to the kitchen and at the front was a large polished wooden stage, the wall behind which with it’s two discrete doors which blended almost perfectly with it was a giant projection screen, currently showing a stone archway which matched the rest of the décor with a beautiful meadow beyond it complete with pools, clusters of trees and rolling hills in the distance. In this meadow, a number of naked young girls were playing happily, chasing each other, gazing into the pools or relaxing in the sun. Quite casually and without any real hint of organisation, they all wandered out of shot within maybe fifteen seconds of each other and the meadow remained empty for about five seconds until two of them wandered back into view, holding hands and chatting, with others gradually making their way into frame. Jennifer recognised this as the point where the recording ended and restarted seamlessly, allowing it to appear continuous, running for as long as it needed. She was vaguely wondering how long the loop might be, whether there was more than one and how long ago it was filmed, realising it was quite possible that the naked young girls frolicking in the idyllic meadow might be grown up by now, or even long eaten, but thoughts were brought immediately back to her surroundings when her eyes fell upon the public cooking area!

A large oven with a glass front through which she could see the meaty rump of a still-squirming girl formed the centrepiece with the spit-roasting pit to the right and a large stew pot to the left. Between the cooking area and the stage was the carving area where two half-stripped carcasses of what had been, as much as Jennifer could tell, girls in their early teens were being kept warm under the lights ready for service to be resumed as soon as the performance was over and beside it the buffet of vegetables, potato and other sides for diners to help themselves to. The spit was occupied, of course, with an older pre-teen who was desperately humping her spit as she turned but it was the girl in the pot she had come to see! Looking just as if she was sitting in a small hot-tub, the cute girl with bobbed hair so pale blonde it was almost white waved at her enthusiastically.

“I’ll leave you ladies to it!” the young man grinned. “Just remember, you only have a few minutes before the dance performance starts!” Jennifer thanked him and ducked under the rope which he held up for her, scurrying over to the pot to speak to its occupant, pulling the digital camera out of her purse as she went.

“Hi!” she smiled at the girl in the pot as she got close. “Do you mind if I film?” It felt a little odd to be starting a conversation with someone who was essentially already food but this girl was definitely doing her a favour and manners, as the saying goes, cost nothing!

“Go right ahead!” the girl beamed. Jennifer switched the camera to video, framed her shot nicely and pressed the button to start recording.

“Okay, we’re rolling!” she announced. “Thank you for taking the time to talk to me today!”

“That’s okay!” the girl giggled impishly. “It’s not as if I’m busy! Just sat here stewing in my own juices! Plus whoever else’s are in here!” she poked at a piece of meat from one of the pots previous occupants that bobbed past her. Jennifer couldn’t help but giggle at the meat-girl’s playful attitude and wondered if she was using humour to distract from the pain of boiling alive or whether that was simply how she always was!

“Would you like to introduce yourself?” Jennifer invited.

“Of course!” The girl grinned straight at the camera. “My name is Hallie. My friends call me Squishy, although I can’t imagine why!” she giggled, pushing her pleasingly round, apple-sized young boobies with their puffy pink nipples together then giving them a playful honk. “I’ll be your stew for this evening!”

“Those are certainly some nice dumplings you’ve got there!” Jennifer giggled.

“Thanks! I grew them myself!” Hallie teased. “My Uncle Ed says they make great stress-balls!”

“I bet he does!” laughed Jennifer behind the camera. “Hope he’s not going to miss them too much?”

“Nah my friend Jess from next door has promised to make sure he’s well looked after!” Hallie grinned. “Plus he gets to enjoy a couple of bowls of Squishy Stew which should make up for the loss!”

“Can I ask how old you are?” Jennifer asked, remembering that this was supposed to be an interview.

“Sure thing!” Hallie smiled. “I’m twelve, thirteen next month! Well, I won’t be!” she caught herself and giggled. “But you know what I mean!” Jennifer grinned, finding she liked Hallie a lot and wishing they could have met earlier so they could have been friends, even if the cheerfully stewing girl was a little older than her.

“What made you decide to volunteer?” she asked, thinking that understanding the thought-process of a modern meat-girl could potentially give her some insight into Sidney’s own motivations, even if their cultural backgrounds were necessarily vastly different. Although her face was already pink and flushed from sitting in the steaming soup which was hotter than any bath, Hallie seemed to blush.

“Well…” she giggled infectiously, her cute pre-teen tits bouncing as she did, “It was kind of a dare but I guess you could say I brought it on myself?”

“Go on!” Jennifer urged, intrigued, holding the camera steady as she listened.

“Well, you see Madison over there?” she pointed and Jennifer panned her camera to show the girl on the spit who was dripping with a mixture of sweat and oil, urgently humping her spit as she turned over the artificial coals. She kept the camera on the roasting girl as Hallie continued her explanation. “Well, she was with me and Poppy on the beach last weekend and we were teasing her that with a body like that, she pretty much had a duty to volunteer! I mean come on,” she giggled, “look at that ass and those thighs!” There was no denying that the spitted girl looked absolutely delicious, athletic and toned but with a thick figure that could almost be described as stocky but no less feminine for it. If any girl could be described as a perfect roaster it was Madison and her round rump and thick, muscular thighs were nothing short of spectacular! “Wouldn’t it be a crime against deliciousness not to roast that body?”

“Can’t argue with that!” Jennifer chuckled.

“So anyway,” Hallie continued as Jennifer slowly panned the camera back to her interviewee, “we kept teasing her and when we saw a recruiter’s stand on the beach we really started pushing and in the end she said she would if we could, so what could we really say at that point?” She giggled again.

“So I take it Poppy is…” Jennifer turned her camera to the oven and zoomed in on the squirming rump and feet which were the only parts of its occupant visible through the glass door.

“Yup! That’s her in the oven with a carrot up her butt!” Hallie grinned as Jennifer turned the camera back to her.

“I hope you don’t take this the wrong way,” she ventured apologetically, “but pretty much everyone considers the spit the starring role! How did you decide who went where?”

“Well we pretty much had to let Madison have the spit!” Hallie chuckled. “And honestly, the pot was best for me!”

“Why’s that?” Jennifer asked, hoping she wasn’t prying. “If you don’t mind saying?”

“Oh, not at all!” Hallie assured her. “Basically, I’m a wheelchair user. I can walk a bit but I tend to look like I’ve had a few too many and it gets really painful if I stand too long! Honestly,” she grinned, “this hot bath feels so nice! I honestly recommend it to anyone with chronic hip pain!” Both girls giggled together. “Anyway, my legs are not exactly toned and kinda spindly so I’m not really suitable for roasting. Plus this way,” she enthused, “I get to meet and chat to the people who are going to enjoy me!”

“Well I’m certainly looking forward to a taste later!” Jennifer grinned. Out of shot, the young man signalled to her to wrap the interview up. Clearly their time was nearly done. “Thank you so much for talking to me today and I hope you enjoy the rest of your cooking!” Jennifer thanked her new friend. “Do you have any last words for the folks at home?”

“Umm…” Hallie thought for a moment then grinned. “Stay delicious and bon appetite!” Jennifer pressed the button and the recording faded out.

“Thanks so much!” she beamed at Hallie. “This really meant a lot!”

“No problem at all!” Hallie grinned. “Enjoy the show and enjoy your dinner afterwards! Hopefully I’ll still be here to serve you a bowl of delicious girl stew!”
