Let me preface this by saying my intention is not to be offensive. I just thought you would appreciate an honest opinion. But I'm aware I'm a bit on the spectrum so I can never tell what level of honestly I'm meant to be at. So if you'd rather I did not comment, I'll understand and refrain in the future.
So something occurred to me and I did a search for "!" in your story and chapter 1 has 143 of them. Exclamation marks are something I use to convey interest in text and e-mails because I'm not sure how to convey emotions otherwise and using a simple period feels like I'm being rude or disinterested. But in my case, I'm not really feeling the enthusiasm and I'm putting on a facade. So in my case, seeing so many exclamation marks in your story makes your characters come off as fake and disingenuous to me. This, in turn, makes it hard to relate to these characters and makes it difficult to care about what happens to them.
Another odd disconnect I have is with the snuff bunny mentality many of your characters seem to have that feels at odds with your massive world building. As I understand things, in a normal, larger story, the intent is to develop a likable or relatable protagonist that the reader then roots for and wants to succeed through character development. Obviously, this is at odds with a snuff story and I have no idea how to reconcile that. But I also think that in a smaller story character development isn't necessary and doesn't really happen as there is no time for it. Instead the focus is on an interesting plot or idea. But this is where my disconnect comes in with your large stories, since they go through several chapters yet your protagonist doesn't really go on a journey of discovery and development and instead has the smaller story snuff bunny mentality that just comes off as fake and doesn't seem to fit into the larger narrative you're crafting
So I think what I'm trying to say is that I find your short stories to be pretty great. The protagonists don't feel like fully realized people but they're not meant to and their endings are simply fun. But in your larger stories it feels like a waste of time to get to know a character over the course of several chapters since they don't seem to develop, grow, or change and their ending is already predetermined. I do appreciate the lore drops though.
My recommendation is that for the longer form, multi chapter stories, make the protagonists more grounded emotionally and the world less excitable with exclamation marks. The protagonist needs proper motivation for why she's going along with whatever is happening to her and there needs to be a struggle at some point that either reaffirms or changes her world view, even if it doesn't ultimately affect her fate. The protagonist is going on a journey and the reader should be invested in that journey and a journey has challenges, otherwise its just a walk.
For your short stories, I think they're perfectly fine.
Anyways, take this all worth a grain of salt. I'm just some random internet person after all. And please don't stop writing. Despite all the nonsense I've written, I still read all your stories and I can tell you that "Sole Food" is my favorite of your stories. The girls had believable and adorable personalities and the focus on feet was interesting and fun. The only thing I really wished it had more of was descriptions of the meat's taste and how Taylor's personality and lifestyle influenced it to make it truly unique. Alright, I'll admit, I do wish it had a bit more sensuality to it too. Shredded girl meat probably tastes just as great as a whole piece and is probably move viable in a variety of recipes but losing form also loses all sex appeal and the sex appeal is what makes girl meat really stand out.
