BlackRex delivers good fun once again!
The only complaint I have for this one is it was hard to keep track of all the kids. There's a point where mom describes which kid is from which husband, which gives some idea of their ages relevant to each other, but I felt like it wasn't quite enough and came late enough in the story that they all already settled in my mind as some homogenous blob of a group rather than individual people. It's kinda in the spirit of the story where they don't care how many and which of them die, but for the reader it would be more enjoyable to actually be able to put an image of a character behind each name rather than think of any of them as "one of the kids".
You know how some authors here make a list of the characters before the story with their ages and relation to each other? Well, relation is obvious here, but ages could be helpful and maybe a short visual description (hair color and such). I used to not like such lists, seeing them as a failure to introduce the characters properly within the story, but I guess nowadays I became too dumb to pick out bits of descriptions sparsely sprinkled around the text here and there.
Maybe it's just an inherent problem of stories that start with a big group of characters rather than getting a chance to introduce them one by one. Perhaps a solution (other than just include a list before the story) could be to start the story with mom taking turns interacting with each of the kids individually, at maximum two at a time, or perhaps a couple of kids interacting among themselves, each interaction serving to introduce one or two characters, focusing on establishing their name, age, looks, personality. Or you could even do that without interactions by starting with visual descriptions of each character, which would be a natural place to include their name and age, and perhaps their choice of outfit or a remark on their demeanor could also give a hint to their personality.
Sorry, somehow it ended up like this long rant, even though I meant to just make a little critical remark about an otherwise good story.

Do you have to bring up real life atrocities here and ruin everyone's enjoyment of fantasy?
He'd probably see us as a bunch of losers who can't get their hand on the real thing, same way a dad seeing their some play Call of Duty and going "games are for little babies, if you enjoy shooting you should enlist into army and kill real people like a grown up man". Ergo, he wouldn't be enjoying this site.
