I was worried you'd stopped writing. I really like the perspective you've shared. Setting it a century after the Famine, when the survivor generation have all passed away, means that the System's normalisation has become habit. There's no horror stories from Gran and Grandad anymore, just the knowledge that the System works and the comfort and security it brings is worth the sacrifices.
