Not really into the whole meat slaughter thing but very nicely written. I really like the headspace and panic. Maybe it'd be more interesting to leave the age to the reader's imagination for young characters like Jackson? Let us decide if we picture him as 12, 14, whatever. Anyways nice work, keep it up!
