XI – ANIMAL FUNCTIONAL CLASSIFICATION
WRISTBAND COLOR CLASSIFICATION

Wristband color is used to indicate classification and operational status within the system.

Standard designations include:
• Green — Pre-Conversion / Unprocessed Human designation
• Red — Animal (active processing classification)
• Yellow — Staff designation
• Blue — Orphan classification
• Purple — Companion Animal designation

Wristbands are:
• assigned prior to or during Intake
• worn at all times within Processing facilities
• used for immediate visual identification

Color designation replaces the need for verbal confirmation of status.

CLASSIFICATION CLARIFICATION

Not all functional roles are associated with unique wristband colors.

The following designations do not alter wristband classification:
• Service Stock
• Working Animals

Animals assigned to these roles:
• retain Red wristband designation
• remain within the standard slaughter pipeline
• are not reclassified as a separate processing category

Role assignment does not indicate exemption from Processing.
