Some very good questions! Fortunately they are nearly all answered in across a few stories! But to summarise:

Sidney didn't have a time-limit per se, just "as soon as possible". It was a craving for her. She was harvested at 12 because that's when she got the relevant laws passed and it seemed nicely poetic to make it happen on her birthday. She would happily have been harvested at 8, 9 or 10 if it were possible. The laws were officially passed on the same day she became meat.

She was eight years old when she first got the idea into her head. Quite how she convinced her father is the one part I've not explored too deeply but essentially she had him wrapped around her little finger. Perhaps he thought at first if he just went along with it rather than trying to fight her, it would pass like any other whim, but it didn't!

Sidney's mum died shortly after she was born so she wasn't around to see what happened. Sidney had two significantly older brothers who were closer to each other in age and both well into their twenties when she died. The family continues through them.

Although friendly, easy going and sociable when she needed to be, Sidney only really had one close friend who originally wanted to campaign along side her bit her mother refused and Sidney carried on alone, leading to a sad estrangement.

As for other girls, she believed that every girl should have the right to be meat if that's what they wanted.

She was prepared by a number of different celebrity and top-rated chefs who each got to prepare a dish with a certain part of her meat that she allocated to them in advance after careful applications and vetting. The dishes were mostly, at that time, adaptations of existing dishes just swapping in Sidney meat instead of pork, beef or chicken.

The restaurants were her father's idea seeing a gap in the market that the new laws could be used to exploit. Sidney knew about the plans and was excited for them although he had promised her the name would include her friend's too, as a form of reconciliation. He did not keep that promise.

Those to eat her meat were family and invited guests, some who had been involved in the campaign in some way and others who were just celebrities willing to give their endorsement.

I think locks of her hair were kept by close family members and staff.
