Very restrained slaughter and absolutely on point with the world. The grinder shouldn't be the slaughter method unless the Animal asks.

This is exactly why I didn't write a mandatory methods section when it comes to slaughter. In my canon the default is lethal injection to reduce panic. But cutting the throat is much more visceral and interesting.
