In this boarding school, everything that helps endure that time of the month is banned. No ibuprofen nor other pills, no drugs, no chocolate, no infusions, no yoga. You are supposed to go through your period feeling all the cramps as much as possible, the headaches, the nausea. Here, the worst the period is for everyone, the better. The girls must concentrate on their studies the same as the boys, with no help to distract them from the fact that they are on the rag.

Tampons and tissues are prohibited, no matter how heavy their flow. To make it even more uncomfortable for them, they are not even allowed to use underwear. This means they will inevitably stain their pants and skirts. They must either buy new clothes every day or reuse them, stained with old brown blood.

The boys and the other girls are encouraged to make fun of and bully people that are visibly in their period, so that they may feel embarrassed and feel impure.

They will stain most desks they sit on, but they must clean their own period blood from them before leaving the room if they don't want to be expelled, even if they are late for the next class. They cannot use soap or blankets, but instead they are required to clean them with their tongue. Nobody is allowed to help them except for other girls with the period. It is be very common to enter a room in this school and find two girls licking each other's period from the benches, with expressions of shame and disgust.
