I wouldn't worry too much about developing a bit of a trope.
While yes, it's very obvious you have some preferred methods, it's not a bad thing. I'd see it more as part of your signature.

What's interesting and hot about your stories isn't so much the killing as the characters and how they end up wanting to become food and how they and their loved ones deal with that decision and their impending death.

Sure, it's fun every once in a while to see a slightly different cooking method, but it's but a tiny part of them and it's not why I keep enjoying reading all of your stories and the interesting universe you develop around those.

I hope your break treats you well. You sure have been quite prolific recently. Don't burn yourself out.
