Haha okay! Well the series takes place in an alternate 1960s where the Axis powers won WW2 and the US is split between the German Reich and the Japanese Empire. On the Japanese side, Americans are treated as conquered, second class citizens, but the German side went the Roman route, branding the invasion as "the Liberation" and granting Americans citizenship of the Reich.

The plot point in question is a senior official's son, fervent member of the Hitler Youth who has grown up under Nazi ideology and knows no other world. His father discovers he has a genetic disorder, a wasting disease, which means under the laws of the Reich he must be euthanised. He spends a couple of episodes plotting how to save him but then the son finds out and, like the good citizen he is, hands himself over to the authorities for euthanasia and becomes something of an icon for it.
