Her father's eyes darted to the laptop and back to her. "Just... just science, Lila. You
wouldn't understand. It's nothing for you to worry about." He paused, his gaze
lingering on her. "But I have to go now. There's an urgent appointment I forgot to tell
you about." He hastily stood up, gathering his keys and briefcase. "I'll be back soon.
Don't touch anything on my desk, okay?"

Lila nodded, watching him leave the room. As soon as she heard the front door shut,
she jumped out of her chair and rushed over to the laptop. Her heart raced as she
moved the mouse, the screen flickering back to life. It revealed a wall of tabs and
files, the words "Dolcett" and "human cloning" standing out in stark contrast to her
schoolwork. She clicked on a tab titled "Flavors of Youth," her curiosity piqued by
the alluring yet eerie name.

The page that loaded was a visual feast of horror and fascination. Young women, all
identical, filled her screen, each one sculpted with a surreal blend of beauty and
horror. They were muscular, their bodies a testament to meticulous training and
genetic manipulation. Each image showcased a different stage of development, from
lean and athletic to bulging with power, as if they were bred solely for the purpose of
physical perfection. The text beside the images spoke of the "exquisite taste" of their
tender flesh, a notion that both repulsed and intrigued her.

Her heart hammered in her chest as she clicked through the files, the images growing
more disturbing with each page. There were detailed descriptions of the cloning
process, the care taken to ensure the muscles grew just so, the way they were fed,
exercised, and pampered until the perfect moment of consumption. The words
"rejuvenating properties" danced on the screen, taunting her with a dark allure she
hadn't anticipated. The room grew warmer, her breaths shallower as she scanned the
text, her eyes widening at the implications.
