Well, Collins got his A-grade at the same time the sergeant got his niece, so I guess that left an opening for the second in command to get the top quality ration. Note that Sgt Stevenson did get the next A-grade, so the best meat does typically go to the higher ranks. Of course, in a squad, the MOTF's meat is shared, so it doesn't make too much difference who gets to be the master of the higher quality meat.

Also, I originally had a scene showing this, but the soldiers who have already snuffed their MOTF often receive blow jobs, etc. from the other surviving rations. An A-grade ration, like 7421, certainly would have been enjoyed by the entire squad in one way or another. Rank certainly has its privileges, but most of the lesser officers wouldn't be stingy with their own squad. Gotta keep up that morale! 😘
