Speaking as an occasional content creator, it really does mean a lot when someone responds to something I made. Even criticism is often nicer than the silence which quietly implies that my efforts are worthless. (I know I have at least a couple fans, so I know to dismiss those doubts)

Speaking as a frequent lurker, I wish I had a way to encourage a creator who is making something I enjoy which didn't require me to come up with something to say 😶. I understand why it wouldn't work here, but the ratings / thumbs buttons on basically every other content sharing site offer a nice middle ground between a thoughtful comment and nothing at all. Perhaps a comment with just "+1", "like" or "👍" would be a workable equivalent here.

Finally, Edward, I'd probably love about everything you write, but just don't have time to read as fast as you can apparently crank out tasty little tales 😜. Maybe some day I'll take a month and try to catch up reading your many ongoing stories.
