The next morning at work, Mollie could not help but feel that people were looking at her a bit different from normal. Was it because they knew this was the last week of her life? Surely, with death being such an integral part of the work they did every day, this should not be giving them any significant pause? Was it because they had seen pictures of her naked or, in some cases, in person at the party or one of the other recent occasions and couldn’t help picturing her that way when they looked at her? She didn’t think that was very likely with most of her co-workers. After all, the only thing more common than death in their business was nudity and, nice as she knew her own body undoubtedly was, there was nothing particularly special or unique about it. Putting it down to her own mix of excitement and nerves about her big day, she shrugged it off and got on with her work.

Among her emails were enquiries from a mother who wanted to book a pirate-themed party for her son’s ninth birthday with a spit-roast girl to serve around twenty children plus between five and ten parents and one from the secretary of a choir for retired people asking her company to cater their Summer social and suggesting a hearty girl soup rather than anything too solid as many of their members were quite elderly and struggled with chewing, as well as having various degrees of appetite. Feeling pleased to have found a suitable assignment for the sweet teen, Mollie sent them Scarlett’s profile for approval along with the quote for the event as requested. The pirate party would doubtless be a lot more fun but require more organisation and, although she would not be around to host it personally, Mollie thought it would be a fun little project to occupy her last few days, after which she could pass it off to someone else. She replied asking for more information about the level of theming required, whether they had any preferences about the girl being roasted and whether they were hoping for the staff and the meat to also be in character, then she started browsing through the files of currently unassigned volunteers, filtered by sex and meat yield, looking for suitable candidates.

After narrowing it down to three candidates or four candidates, depending on what preferences the potential customer expressed when she replied, Mollie put her computer to sleep and went to collect her first clients of the day for their planning meeting and inspection. Walking into the reception area, it was easy to tell who they were.

“Mrs Ramierez, Sophia and Isabella?” she read from her list. A very beautiful, big-chested, olive-skinned woman in a smart green suit who was sat between two equally beautiful girls stood up and smiled. One girl looked about fourteen years old and the other perhaps ten or eleven. All three had the same grey-green eyes, olive skin and long, thick, straight hair so dark a shade of brown that it was almost black. Mollie could not help being struck by their beauty – it was like meeting a family of models or movie-stars and the thought that she was about to see them naked actually made her heart beat a little faster. Her lips felt dry and her tongue heavy and awkward but she did her best to remain professional as she greeted them, shaking the mother’s well-manicured hand and smiling at each of the girls.
