Her head spinning with excitement, Mollie returned to the office to catch up on some more emails and to prepare her hand-over documents for her meeting with Nora later. Although she hadn’t minded the late meeting, she had wondered at first why they couldn’t have met up and got everything sorted out earlier but now that she knew she was holding recruitment interviews during the day, she supposed it made sense. Still, however she had expected things to go when she woke up that morning, the turn the day had taken was not among her predictions! Still, the way everyone had reacted when she walked in on the inspection of the young blonde earlier was still bothering her, as was the way everyone seemed to be reacting to her that morning. Not in an upsetting way, just something wasn’t sitting quite right.
With the relevant documents compiled, she made herself a coffee while waiting for her next inspection. This one turned out to be far more run of the mill and did not result in making a date with the meat! Not that she would have objected – he subjects this time were a pair of fifteen year old cheer-leaders who were planning to roast after their team’s big game the weekend after next and, like the Ramierez family, wanted grading stamps to flaunt during the build-up. Mollie was happy to give their young, toned bodies both perfect tens which translated to an A+ grade. A sandwich, three coffees and a consultation a pair of siblings, a boy of nine and a girl of eleven, later, Mollie knocked on Nora’s office door, a stack of papers in her arms all neatly collated, stapled and clipped to keep the relevant pages together.
Throughout the meeting, Mollie couldn’t quite shake the feeling that Nora’s mind was on something else. She listened politely, looked through the papers as Mollie handed them to her, nodding at the parts she highlighted and asking occasional questions for clarification and to show that she was listening but something in her eyes made Mollie feel as if the meeting was a ruse of some kind, a distraction. But from what, she really couldn’t fathom. She also noticed how Nora kept glancing past her to the clock above the door as if she had somewhere important she was supposed to be which again struck her as odd since it had been Nora who asked for this meeting. Almost exactly on the stroke of six, she put up a hand to silence Mollie then took a big box from under her desk, not a gift-wrapped package, just a simple brown cardboard shipping-box, put it on the desk and slid it towards Mollie.
“I have to pop out for a minute.” She explained unconvincingly. “Wonderful work on the handover documents! Can you see to this and I’ll see you in a few minutes?”
“See it to?” Mollie asked, mildly worried the box might contain stray puppies or another mountain of paperwork she would be expected to take home and finish. “What do you mean?”
“Just open it and you’ll see.” Nora smiled, already half way out the door. “See you in a bit!”
Shaking her head in bemusement, Mollie stood, pulled the box towards her and opened in. Inside was a note on top of a pink Sidney hat and pair of boots, not as high quality as the ones she had worn at the Castlefords’, for sure, but still a step or two above the basic party shop type. Smiling, with everything finally dropping into place, she picked up the note and read it.
“Put these on and meet us in the picnic area. ONLY THESE!!!” Chuckling, Mollie set the note down on the table and took out the costume pieces. Suddenly all the shifty behaviour made sense! She hadn’t expected this at all, maybe a cake on her last day, but it seemed her team were throwing her a full-fledged Sidney party! Quickly, Mollie pulled off her shoes and socks, putting them in the box for safe-keeping, then quickly piled her polo-shirt and trousers on top of them before topping off the pile with her bra and panties, reflecting as she did so that it was unlikely all her underwear combined cost as much as the set Maria or Sophia Ramierez had been wearing before their inspection!
Suitably attired, she headed out into the corridor. A month ago she might have been at least a little self-conscious, even ‘though she would still have been up for the costume if the party had been for someone else, as proved at Megan’s Sidney party which had kick-started this whole final adventure for her, but she was well past that now! Being naked felt to her like just another outfit! She remembered seeing an interview with Sidney herself where she had said something similar. She considered how she normally appeared in public as her “uniform” and didn’t consider herself naked, just wearing a naked girl costume! That was honestly how Mollie felt, not naked but dressed as a meat-girl which was, after all, exactly what she was! Nobody else seemed to be about as she made her way down the corridor, through the kitchen and out into the yard. As she rounded the corner and the picnic area came into view, she could not help putting her hands to her mouth and laughing in delighted surprise! She may have worked out that she was being thrown a Sidney party but she had not expected everyone to so whole-heartedly embrace the theme!
Every single one of her co-workers, including the boys and the women old enough to be her mother as well as those around her own age or younger, were dressed in nothing but pink Stetson hats and rhinestone-studded boots! Even Sarah, the new recruit, was there and Mollie wondered whether she had known about the party when she came for the interview or whether it had been a spur of the moment invitation for her.
“Surprise!” they all shouted in unison, raising assorted drinks in a toast to her.
“Oh wow!” she laughed. “You guys really went for it, huh?”
“Seemed only fair!” Rebecca grinned, brining her a glass of sparkling wine. “Considering how much time you’ve been spending in your birthday suit these past few weeks!”
“Wow, this is great!” Mollie beamed, taking the offered glass. “Thanks so much, guys!”
“Oh but that’s not all!” Nora smiled. “We wanted to give you a special treat so…” Cole and Doug who had been standing suspiciously close to each other as if to provide a human screen to conceal something or someone behind them stepped aside and the blonde pre-teen Mollie had seen with Rebecca and Sarah earlier, dressed like the others in a pink hat and boots and looking almost exactly like Sidney herself!
“Well howdy, y’all!” the girl saluted her, speaking in an accent even less convincing that Sidney’s own. “Sure hope you’re hungry ‘cause I’m gonna be cooked up as a rootin’ tootin’ barbecue for you this fine evening!”
“Well ain’t that swell!” Mollie responded with a giggle, attempting the Sidney accent for herself before quickly dropping it. “You look absolutely delicious!” Apparently pleased to hear this, the girl gave a little twirl to show off all her meat including her luscious rump. “What’s your name, sugar?”
“Cornelia.” She replied in her own voice, making a slight face, suggesting she had never been especially fond of the name. “Popcorn to my friends!” she giggled then adopted the faux-Texan accent once more. “But you can call me Sidney, or just Dinner if you want!”
“Sidney-flavoured Popcorn!” Mollie licked her lips cartoonishly. “Sounds delicious to me! I didn’t realise how hungry I was but looking at you has reminded me!”
“I guess we’d better get on with the cooking then!” Rebecca grinned, calling her new apprentice forward to assist and giving Popcorn a playful slap on her meaty backside. “Don’t worry, we’ve got some snacks and nibbles for while we wait for this one to be ready!”
“Just be sure to leave room!” Popcorn reminded her cheekily.
“Oh don’t worry!” Mollie assured her, looking with unashamed hunger at the delicious young meat-girl. “I definitely will!”
