The next day was full of fun and mischief for the family, but like every day, it eventually reached its end.
“Girls! Time to get ready for bed, my little monkeys!” Mama shouted, over the squeals and shouts of her daughters’ play.
With some difficulty, Mama rounded up all nine of her young daughters and undressed along with them for the night. She helped them brush their teeth. She then scrubbed them clean in their bath, including their post-bath massage on their special girl-places. Naturally, Mama got her own special massage from the happy youngsters, too.
After their bath, Mama said, “Okay, little monkeys, you can play for ten minutes, and then it’s story time, and then into bed with you!”
“I know,” said Poppy, “let’s all jump on the bed!”
“Yeah!” cried her sisters.
So, all nine little monkeys got up on the bed, and started jumping up and down, right from Rosie, the oldest, down to Capri, the youngest. They had such a lot of fun jumping and bouncing!
Before long, Capri jumped when she should have bounced, and she fell off the bed! As she fell, she tumbled, and hit her leg on the rocking horse, with a loud SNAP!
“Oh my, oh my, what was that?” ask Mama. “Dear me! Capri has fallen and bumped her leg!”
Mama carefully scooped up the naked toddler and carried her to the kitchen table. Capri sobbed when she was laid on the hard table.
Mama quickly ran off and called the doctor, only pausing long enough to put on a plain robe and a touch of makeup. “Hello? Doctor Menta? I need you at once, please come right over!”
When the doctor arrived, he said, “What seems to be the problem, Miss Simian?”
“Please, I told you, call me Satu, doctor,” smiled Mama. “Oh, but you must come and check on little Capri! She was jumping on the bed, and she fell and bumped her leg quite hard!”
“Yes, I see, I see,” said the doctor, as he inspected the injured girl.
“Will she be alright?” inquired Mama.
He shook his head. “I’m sorry to say that your daughter has broken her leg. She is alive, but she won’t be able to walk.”
“Oh, what a shame!” cried Mama. “I suppose there is nothing to be done, then. We’ll have to put her down.”
The doctor nodded and gently squeezed the girl’s tiny neck until her heart stopped. While the doctor was quietly squeezing the life out of the toddler, Mama watched with wide eyes, and slipped a hand between her legs inside her robe.
“Hmm, well then, that takes care of that,” stated Doctor Menta. “However, I must remind you, there should be no more little monkeys jumping on the bed!”
“Right, doctor, sorry!” said Mama. “Thank you so much for coming over so quickly! Have a good night!”
Doctor Menta said, “Yes, good night.” Then he hefted Capri over his shoulder and left.
When Mama returned to the bedroom, she slipped off her robe and removed her makeup. Once ready for bed, she clapped her hands together, and called, “Enough play time, girls! Get in bed, and I’ll read you all a story!”
“I want this one! This one, Mama!” cried Amy, holding up a book.
“
Jessie Rides the Spit
,” read Mama from the title. “That is a classic! isn’t it?”
After reading the book, they all snuggled together and drifted off to sleep.
