Meanwhile, Silco brought Jinx to a laboratory filled with biological experiments. Singed, the owner of the lab, did not bother looking away from the flesh growing in tubes. “What is it for?” he simply asked. “It’s Jinx, she took serious damages. Can you save her?” The scientific put the test tube down to inspect the body. “Hum… There shouldn’t be any issues fixing her body, but I’m not sure her mind could handle it.” He took her body and tied it to an operating table. “She is tough. Don’t worry about her.” Silco stated as Singed grabbed several vials.

“We will have to see. This will take a while, you should leave, I’ll warn you once she’s ready.” Silco wanted to add something but left the room. Singed did not wait, he stripped Jinx of any remaining bits of clothes that would stick to her body, and injected her with the first solution. She was perfectly conscious, she felt the serum entering her body and burn through her veins, her blood sped up, pumping in her body ten times faster. Next, into her chest, close to her heart, he injected a modified Shimmer, this didn’t heal her, merely prevented her body from dying. The first of the next two medicines teared her muscles to heal them back stronger, doing so it compressed the muscles in a way that broke her bones, the second medicine healed them by forcefully remodeling them. It kept going again and again, breaking every parcel of her body in unbearable agony, before healing it solely to break it once more.

And lastly for her skin, it was too damaged. So the doctor had to force her to grew a new one. He rubbed a purple cream on her body. At first it burned her, then it got worse. Her body grew another full layer of skin under the previous one. The second layer pushed up, tearing away the first one getting dissolved into nutrients by the cream. It felt to Jinx as if she was both burned and skined alive at the same time, while still feeling her bone and flesh getting crushed. Her screamed filled the room for hours. Caitlyn and VI waited in a room near the entrance as the council discussed the first orders of the day. The girls are then quickly dragged in and asked to present what they found. Caitlyn spoke for both of them, as VI was unable to. She did not take the time to change, and she believed that what was left of her enforcer uniform would be the best way to show the council members the dangers of Zaun. She described in details the control of Silco over Zaun, and the power he has that can be a threat to Zaun. The concilors argued about what to do with this information, some wished to fight and impose their dominance, others wanted to offer Zaun the independence they wanted, and make a trade route with them. Jayce responded to the girls. “We thank you for what you told us. We will launch an attack on Zaun in a few day.” VI wanted to add something but Caitlyn kicked her to the ground. “This will be too late! Jinx has the gem and will be able to make a weapon with it before you can enter Zaun!” Jayce stayed firm. “I doubt this is possible so early. It’s better to get our army ready, than to rush for no reason. We’ll attack the day after tomorrow. We’ll need you to plan the attack tomorrow morning. You may go.” Caitlyn tried to say something but her mother’s glare stopped her. She grabbed VI and dragged her away.
