Hello! It's wonderful to see you're writing again, I've been a huge fan of your stories for years. I believe I've read all of the ones you've posted on asstr at least once, though not all kinks are created equal so forgive me if I remember some better than others. That said, while this one was definitely a favorite I do have just one question...

See, I couldn't help but notice this particular tale seemed to leave a loose end in the form of the mother, I had to re-read the ending in order to make sure I hadn't missed anything. The lack of closure for her seemed sad... Emily didn't leave so much as a note before leaving her house for the last time.

Was this intentional? I've noticed you haven't done any sequels, all of your stories appear to be self-contained works and yet as I was nearing the climax of this story I wondered if it was leading up to a reveal, perhaps something similar to but necessarily a direct inversion of the ending to "Emma's Betrayal." It wouldn't have been the first time you've featured that kind of parent/child dynamic after all, so honestly the way it ultimately turned out surprised me just a bit.

I'm by no means complaining of course, just a bit curious is all. Either way it was absolutely a captivating and satisfying piece, the first rare treat I've truly been pleased to find here on the new Gurochan so... thanks for that, as well as all your other great stories!

It was (kind of) an oversight on my part that she didn't leave a note or anything. At first I thought that she was just running away, acting on instinct and the note wouldn't be something she would do, but... now that you mention, the idea of her leaving a voice mail in her mothers phone the morning, just after she wakes up, might not be a bad addition...

Her mother was a very absent person in her life after the move, so an ending in which she appears at James's house to eat would be out of place, but the call maybe not. I will think about it![/quote]

Well, after thinking about it I decided you were right and I modified one of the last scenes, just before she enters the kitchen to tie that loose end. It's not much, but adding something more planned (from her side) would go against the plot and it was the reason I left it loose in the first place.

I think its a little better this way, but let me know what you think.

This one is so epic. I love it! Keep up the great writing. We all appreciate it.

Nicely done! I agree that anything more pre-meditated would have required a larger set of changes, but this is fine. It's such a small addition, yet it accomplishes a lot and I think it fits very neatly alongside the context of their final conversation... It's still bittersweet, but this way it's definitely less bitter.

In any case, I look forward to reading your next story! Hope life is treating you well in this new crazy world we've gotten into ^_^
