Welcome to "One (More) Week in Dolcett: Scarlett Sky."

    COVER ART: https://ifcomp.org/play/3272/full_cover

This story is a direct sequel to my first interactive fiction story, "One Week in Dolcett." For the uninitiated, text-based adventures require readers to read a passage and then make a selection that determines how the story will progress. But, because this is a Dolcett story, the reader's choices will determine whether the lead character, Scarlett Sky, advances on her journey or ends up served on a plate as someone's dinner.

As such, this story contains extremely graphic and erotic scenes involving cannibalism, violence, sex, dubious consent, identity loss, murder, and death. "One (More) Week" is also a story about growth, perseverance, and self-actualization under the most extreme conditions. It is a story about people, for people, and written entirely by a person in an effort to combine the deepest human emotions with our most primal instincts. It is absolutely written for Dolcett fetish readers to explore the complicated relationship we all have between our identity as people and our perilous desires.

This story contains OVER NINETY Dolcett snuff endings that indulge each and every cooking method, while also providing insight into the characters who would consume Scarlett on her journey back to Dolcett. Every ending is a fully fleshed-out steamy scenario—there are no “wrong turn, you died” endings. Every conclusion provides both an erotic demise as well as additional insight into the people and world of this story. I believe “One (More) Week in Dolcett” is unique in this regard when it comes to gaming: it leads with a compelling narrative that is enthralling in itself, but can be enriched with every “bad” conclusion.

“One (More) Week in Dolcett” also expands upon the gameplay of the original by removing the blind choices that drove the original story. A careful reader can gain insights at every decision and “know” the correct path forward—but straying from the tools the story teaches will likely lead to Scarlett Sky on the menu. This story also contains a new challenge system developed specifically for the game, called Mindbreak, which places the reader directly inside Scarlett’s lustful mind and gives the reader only seconds to act to save her life.

There are two websites to experience this story, both are highly regarded and vetted. The first is itch.io, the most commonly used website for independent developers to post their games. The second is the IFComp website, as this story is an accepted entrant in the 2026 IFComp - The Interactive Fiction Competition listed on Wikipedia as "the super bowl of interactive fiction. This distinction makes "One (More) Week in Dolcett" perhaps the first Dolcett story ever accepted in a major competition.

This story should auto-save your progress - when you log back in, the story should be right where you left it. However, in the event that your browser automatically clears your progress, this tale also includes a manual save system after major sequences so that you can save your progress, take a break to savor an ending, and return when you're ready for more.

Thank you SO much for being willing to journey back to Dolcett by playing this game. I spent over 200 hours in development of the story and gameplay, and no AI was used at any point during the production of the game. If you're enjoying the story, feel free to give it a like, comment, or send me a DM. Voting is also available on the IFComp site, but you need to read at least five stories to qualify as a judge there.

Thank you! A short summary of the tale is below!

Five years ago, Scarlett Sky traveled to the nation of Dolcett, the only country on Earth where cannibalism—specifically, eating women—is not only legal but a routine, everyday part of the culture. Scarlett hoped to change her life by earning a $1 million reward for just "One Week in Dolcett"—but it was the journey itself that truly changed Scarlett, as she learned about her own resilience, leadership, and desire to be part of something greater than herself.

Now, a strange set of circumstances puts a wiser, stronger, and more determined Scarlett in a position where she must once again travel to Dolcett. This time, it will not only be her life at stake, but also the life of an innocent woman she is determined to rescue. Throughout her adventure, Scarlett is challenged time and again by the inhabitants of this strange world, who have one objective in mind—to have her served on a plate for their dinner.

Can YOU guide Scarlett through her most perilous mission yet, completing not only her quest to save another life, but to help Scarlett save herself?

This one is markedly worse, the Mindbreak feature is nearly impossible and completely uneeded.

I just completed the whole thing, all 3 branches, Dee's book, etc.

It was an awesome read. Really the best I've read in a long time.

The mindbreak thing gets a bit in the way of casual reading, but provides a good imersion. I did however had to retry many times to find the right phrase, and it was a bit bothersome. Still, I made it. I'm used to indy arcade games with many retries to get a specific scene so it was a bit similar to that, repeating a scene over and over to get to find the right mindbreak solution.

I liked the non repetitiveness of the death scenes, or split of details between them (one focussing on getting in the 9ven, the ither of the baking process, other of the deguststion, etc.)

I would have enjoyed a few scene where her decapitated head is fucked while her body is roasting, but heh. (If there was ine, I didn't find it) I still really wnjoyed the game over scenes. I hope you make more of these type of games. (not necessarly another sequel)

    Cheers!

Thanks for both comments, I really appreciate it. The mindbreak has had some love/hate feedback, for sure, and noted.

And - thank you to anonymous for saying it was the best thing you'd read in a long time and doing multiple play throughs! Means a lot! Email me at [email protected] if you want to connect
