My stance on pain is that It is desirable to have in the story. characters should feel pain and but they may either enjoy it or It may be not too significant, or they may endure it for some reason like if a girl is doing a performance on stage and wants to become a star of maybe they think that pain is an expression of love? Or she may do it for some kind of moral reason like believing that suffering is good while not enjoying it at all.

It is most interesting if you put different kinds of motivations in one story.


I generally don't like nonCon but it can be a "covert Con" if a girl deliberately gets into a situation where she gets hurt or when she unnecessarily follows commands while she actually has an easy way to escape.

If I could change one other thing, I have an idea which I'm not that sure about, but it involves making the competition more fair by making Tristan hold Sophia down too (so maybe he can like hug each of the girls around their necks with his arms and hold them down like that?) Maybe Sophia notices he's helping his sister and demands he holds her down too to be fair, or maybe from the start they decide to do it this way this time. Anyway, the end would be that Sophia still loses, because in the end she loses to her instinct and fights and breaks away from Tristan's hold and resurfaces to take a breath. While for Kristen an instinct to unquestioningly trust her other half it stronger than the survival instinct, so she feels comfort in him holding her down and keeps calm and doesn't fight. But she's still aware it would end with her dying, so the trust is not like she trusts that he won't kill her, but that the comforting/calming effect of the one killing her being her brother is stronger than the panicking effect from her lungs burning. Do I make sense?
But as I say, I'm not that sure about that second change, because it might be just overcomplicate the story too much.

The hide-and-seek one is good too. Is it inspired by my 100 words story where Rin decides to kill herself while playing hide-and-seek, arguing that even if Len finds her corpse, there'll be no 'her' anywhere to find?
If I could change one thing about this story, it would be Sally's attitude of "everyone's going to talk about me". I know I said I wanted a smug attitude, but I didn't mean... eh... what's the word?.. hunger for glory?..
Because the way you phrase it, "everyone would say that Sally Smith was the best hide & seek player ever!" somehow sounds too... hm... too elaborate, maybe? Yes, this. Now that I've said this, I see that the attitude you gave her kinda undermines the casualness of it. Because when children usually play games, they try to win just because that's what the game consists of. Not because they want to be talked about for ages to come as a legendary hide-and-seek player. So when Sally talks about how people would talk about her, it puts it as if her jumping into the flames is not just an organic part of playing hide-and-seek. While the point of casual guro is the opposite: to make it feel like it is indeed just an organic part of the game.
If I could change one more thing, that would actually be not making her undress, as leaving her clothes is going against her goal of hiding. If you want to include nudity somewhere, a more logical place would be, of course, in the twins' story, where it could be just shown as a natural part of swimming that it is done naked. In a world where nudity is not considered indecent, who would want to wear a wet peace of cloth on them? Eew.

As for the third story, I guess it's just okay. It's not bad, but it just doesn't evoke as much emotions in me as the other stories. Maybe because the actual action part is too short. In the twins' story it takes some time for Kristen to drown, in Sally's story while the actual burning part is short, it takes some time for her to prepare for it (so I guess there is something good in her undressing after all, as it prolongs the main part of the story giving a bit more time to savor it before it's all over).
So maybe if I wanted to change one thing about this story, it would be to add something more to the last part of it, maybe have each girl's motivation expanded just a bit, like maybe one of them doesn't really mind the boys, but just decides to go along with her friends because doing things together with friends is just fun by itself.
Overall I guess, seeing how all these stories are very short, I wouldn't mind them being more expanded. But then again, since them being so short is a trade off for having three stories for the price of one, I'm not really complaining. Indeed, having three stories all with interesting ideas, even if they end too soon, still gives me three times more different inspiring ideas.

And if you think the more I say I enjoy the story the more I seem to want to change about it, which might sound counter-intuitive, that's because the more it moves me emotionally the more it inspires me, it makes me thing about itself more and that's why I come up with more ideas about improving it. Makes sense?

Although it was possible to give more than one answer I did try to cross reference to see how age affected the results.

The only notable difference I saw was that for university or above enthusiastic consent became somewhat more popular than the other options, while as you go younger there is a clear skew towards reluctant followed by consensual, with the extremes (non-con and enthusiastic) having only half as many votes as reluctant.

There was also a small change in the guro elements: for younger victims it seems that pain/distress switched places with gore/injury in the ranking, while death remained the clear favorite.
