What is the difference between an Edward Hyde post and a Tribble?

Answer: You have to feed a Tribble before they will multiply.
Can we please put all the Edward Hide stories into one thread? Most authors have threads for their work. Edward is great but he is now filling pages and PAGES of this place. It is getting to the point where it is hard to find anything else weather by scroll or search.
Can we PLEASE! organise this a bit? Either Edward himself or a mod please?!?

Sorry it bothers you. The reason I can't use just one thread it I invariably have more than one story on the go at a time. If people prefer I can wait until they're finished to post but I know some people like to enjoy them as they evolve and sometimes make suggestions as to how the story could develope. I'm not trying to monopolise or tread on anyone's toes. Please comment below, folks, if you would prefer me to only post finished stories. Thanks!

Alternative suggestion for admins - I'd be fine with the idea of finished stories being moved to some kind or archive thread if that's possible?

Edward don’t be ashamed of the fact that you write more and better than most of these people if you’re feeling self-conscious then after you finish a couple of stories that are on their own threads here just keep doing one another in one thread

Thank you 🫂 Sadly my neuro-spicy brain won't allow just one WIP at a time so the only way to keep future stories to a single thread is to only post them once they're finished, which I'm open to doing if people would prefer :)

As one of those authors, each of Edward Hyde's stories is as big as my whole thread, so they're deserving each their own thread alright.

So that is true currently, but it hasnt been primarily true dor the last year befoew this week. If you look baxk iver the last dew pages you will see that it is almost all you.
Again, I am not commenting on the QUALITY of your work, hust the quantity. I am not sayinf i dont want to see it bexause I dint like it, I am saying I want tonsee it in one thread on the first page and then also be avke to se the work of other authora also without havinf to pick them out of a sea if Edward Hyde posts.

I get OPs point but I don't think it really matters here, it's not like scrolling a tiny bit is much effort and there aren't THAT many of his stories to scroll past, plus putting them into their own single thread would be a nightmare to navigate since they're so long and get updated in parallel. Maybe his own subsection in /lit but idk if that's needed or even possible, it's just not a big deal imo
Love the fact you used a star trek joke/reference to make the point though, made me giggle like Kirk sat in a pile of cushions having more dropped awkwardly onto him by Dax and sisko

Sorry i think your misundwrstanding my suggestion.
I am saying post as yiu have been BUT once a story is completed copy past i, in whole or chapters into a thread of your completed works .
Then, after a few days the original thread can be deletes.
That keeps everything neat, makes your stories easy to find, AND lets your newest work get the attention it deserves while keeping your creation prossess the same.

That's howni feel yes, and inam glad people like tje reference.
Also itnisnt just the stories he is personally writing, there is at least one other auther whonposts often in the Sidnyverse. The Sidnyverse could be its own thread.
At somepoint worlds get so popular that they need to be separated or risk drowning out everything else. Imagin if bwcknin the day Dolcett or Omegaverse fans had demanded to stay in the general rape/sunff/furry forums.
I am not saying Sidnyverse should be moved to its own "/" I just think a Sidnyverse thread is in ordwr at this point.

It also didntjust didnt occur to me to use a thread comment as a DM and I also am not sure whicj of your stories is the one you are curently working on.

At the risk of beating a dead horse, or being earnest and heartfelt to a weird extent, I really like your stories Edward Hyde, though they aren't always 100% my fetishistic cup of tea they're like 98% and even the remaining 2% I still enjoy because I think they're well written and of an interesting world you created and fleshed out. I wish I had the confidence to write stuff and put it out there for others, and I wish I enjoyed writing enough that I'd enjoy putting my imagination down in text, but I'm just a lurker and enjoyer of other people's hard work. Take time off if your want to of course - you don't owe anyone else anything, but I hope you know your work is enjoyed and appreciated by a lot of silent lurkers who never say anything.
Also as another member of the neurospicy brigade, I get what it's like. I'm not going to dump all my labels and diagnoses here but I struggle to finish task 1 before starting tasks 2-22 at the same time and then randomly switching between them as my wonky brain decides to, so don't feel bad if you have something similar and if it affects your writing process, because your stories are good and I wish there were more of them. In a way I'd prefer your stories took up less space in /lit but only because I wish we had a hundred times as many people writing stories, not because you wrote less

Thank you :) I will still be posting on Pixiv and putting finished ones on Ao3 and Dolcettish. I'm not saying I'll never post here again just, for now, it doesn't feel like a safe/happy place for me any more. I do always try to hold back updates if someone has just posted something new so they get time at the top and, as I said in an earlier reply, my posts actually make up about 1/5 of everything that's posted, not a majority by any means, although I do accept I post more than anyone else :) So yeah, people apparently want breathing room from me so that's what I'm going to give them for now. Thanks for the supportive comments! *hug*

@ Janny - Answer: A Tribble does not emit negative vibrations in its surroundings.
We are here in a very specialized forum. Does it make sense, then, to reference the Star Trek universe?
On the subject at hand:
Are you really criticizing the author Edward Hide because of the sheer number of stories he has posted? Seriously? You claim that, because of him, you can't find stories by other authors. The thing is, that isn't Edward's fault; rather, it’s because too few stories by other authors are being posted in the first place.
The poor search functionality and the cluttered layout of this forum may well be due to the fact that the users—either by choice or necessity—do not provide sufficient financial support. The effort involved in running and modernizing a website—in terms of both time and money—should not be underestimated.
But perhaps I should introduce myself first, so you know who is actually criticizing you right now.
I go by the name Tanja_Mars here—one of the characters from my stories. My artist name is S-Ritter, and I identify myself using one of my images. Just one out of over 40,000.
Most of those images will never be seen here; they look too realistic.
Now, as for you: where is *your* creative content?
Unfortunately, I cannot post my stories here. I have illustrated my stories with images that look far too realistic. However, they are available for download.
https://boards.guro.cx/ai/koko.php?res=14586&page=0#p13_18202
I’m going to go make myself a coffee now before I continue writing here. Perhaps this site can still manage to generate some positive added value after all. And to anyone joining the conversation: please remain polite.

@Janny In my opinion, your post has caused a certain amount of damage. Your criticism was misdirected at Edward; after all, he cannot be held responsible for how this internet platform is structured. To attack an author—or an artist—so harshly simply for producing "too much" content is so destructive that anyone reading this post—someone who might perhaps be considering publishing a story themselves—is likely to be left so discouraged that they might well reconsider contributing anything here at all. However, as far as I am concerned, I can put your mind at ease. You challenged me to revise my stories and adapt them for this forum.
Furthermore, I would like to encourage Edward—and every other author—to continue posting here and to ignore criticisms that completely miss the point.

I have to disagree with OP.
I'd much rather Edward Hyde keeps his stories in individual threads.
It would be an absolute pain to have to wade through pages and pages of a single thread to find the relevant story you want to read.
Plus, it's not like his stories are anywhere near being able to be considered spam. They all are of great quality and each is unique.
I for one am thankful of Edward's prolific writing as it's always such a treat to read him, although it's sometimes hard to keep up with all the content.
Secondly, for people who regularly check the forum, there aren't so many threads that it's hard to keep track of new ones.
Now, ideally, we'd be able to have folders and could have multiple threads, one per story, in an author's folder.
But that would require fundamentally changing how this board works.
At the end of the day, it's just a reality that a board like this isn't best suited for writing stories. it is what it is, and that's what we have to deal with.

I have said this many times now. I didnt critisize Edwaed or his work in any way. All I did was suggest that due to the prolific amount of stories in the Sydnivers he might want to consider making a thread to put the FINNISHED stories in after their initial publication(*something many authors do on their own on traditional forums like this one*).
I have complimented his work at every turn, however I WILL criticize his (and your) thin Skin. You people are being babies. If you can't take even the gentaliat of suggestions even about things only tangential to your writting than you shouldn't share it publicly.
As for me I have been using the same name in the community since I was 11 years old. I am Janny. I have been helping, "The Geek," write the WSA200 series cince its second incarnation, I helped Grendal with the, "Changing / Changed World," stories(Yes it is my fault he didn't finnish them... Sorry... I went through a bit of a bitch period between 17-19), I consulted on a couple of PullApart's stories(I am especially proud of my suggestions on his superhero series) and have had positive coraspondences with most of the big names from Mayor Pero to Monk to Riawh(no they didnt know my age when I was talking to them). Oh and I created that Dolcett D&D setting that was popular for a couple years on Dolcettish and dolcettgirls...
... I am not sure WHY ANY OF THAT SHOULD MATTER!

I see you don't quite understand what criticism is. Criticism isn't just speaking ill of a work or a way of doing things. "Criticism is the evaluative assessment of a thing, an action, or a person based on specific standards. The term derives from the ancient Greek word *krinein* (to distinguish, to judge). The goal is to gain insight, point out errors, or bring about improvements." You are trying to bring about an improvement that you believe could be helpful.
However, you have to understand that not every assessment is perceived as helpful. To offer an assessment or criticism, you need to know the motivation of the person you want to help—the goals of the author or artist.
And no one here is being oversensitive or acting like a baby. While it’s true that some artists or authors seem a bit thin-skinned, I call it empathy. This makes one more likely to perceive negative or critical voices as harsher than perhaps intended. But that same empathy brings with it the ability for an author to put themselves in the shoes of fictional characters—a skill that is crucial for portraying believable actions in a story.
Someone who is highly empathetic might misunderstand a comparison to Tribbles.
Our comments about the Tribbles were rather inappropriate given the topic under discussion here; they could be interpreted as an attack. In a different context, it would be funny.
I’ll leave the Tribbles out of it; my remark was just as odd as your comment about them. Besides, I don't like fur in my food.
In the *Star Trek* universe, Vulcans are actually my favorites—logical and analytical, rather than emotionally reactive. That’s something we humans often lack in various discussions—generally speaking. By the way, I admit I was wrong to say that quotes from the *Star Trek* universe would be inappropriate here on the forum. That world holds plenty of potential for exploring—in greater detail and through the lens of *guro*—the atrocities that are otherwise only hinted at; this is especially true when looking at *Star Trek*’s dark Mirror Universe.
Thanks, by the way, for the inspiration behind this image concept.
Before you reply, please give some thought to what I’ve written. There’s a certain note of frustration in those words you capitalized.
I do understand your goal and your idea. But sometimes, ideas simply aren't feasible. And the way you phrased things—unfortunate as it was—led many to perceive you as being overly negative. I find your statement that someone shouldn't publish work unless they can handle criticism to be odd; everyone has the right to either ignore criticism of their work or engage with it.
I find your account of your involvement in the scene interesting. That makes me all the more eager to hear further suggestions and ideas from you, even if the outcome regarding your specific idea here turned out quite differently than expected.
And one more thing: I have a thick skin and am very open to criticism.

Me? Thin-skinned?! That's the artistic temperament, darling! :-P
On a serious note, you did clarify your intent later but your first post did feel very much like an attack, intentional or otherwise. Yes, I am a sensitive soul with a volatile mental state. As I said before, another time, just come to me directly and we can have a conversation :)
Thank you to those who came to my defense but let's draw a line under this now and all get on with our lives :) There's enough shit going on in the world without us weird little perverts fighting among ourselves :)
Peace out xxx
