    Literal translation would be something like "Oni Rugrat" or "Demon Ankle-Biter". 鬼 is "oni" or "demon" and "ジャリ" is a mean-spirited, derogatory term for "kid/child".

    怪奇くん - "Bizarro-kun"
    妖怪うんけろ - "Shit-Puke Monster"
    怪人どくろ博士 - "The Mysterious Dr. Death's Head"
    おどろ牌 - "Cursed/Scary Tile"
    魔ジャリ - Same as the first chapter but this time "魔" means like a demon/devil instead of "鬼", which is more like an oni/ogre.

    Final translation might change upon actually reading the stories. There is some word-play going on with these titles that makes them a bit difficult to translate 1:1.

    Here's a small pile of Kago books, some of these I promised months and months ago...what can I say I'm fucking lazy...

    Folder contains:

    Brain Damage, short 35 page in Japanese only
    Thrilling History Chapter 1-19, pretty sure it is done now. Japanese only
    How To Suicide. Not the best scan, but cleaned it up best I could.
    Tract. Again not the best. Some of the pages come from photos and not scans.

    This is the 24 page manga that Hino based one of his two contributions to the infamous GUINEA PIG series of films on. The manga is quite a bit different, though.

    As far as I know, the story was first collected in a volume called "胎児異変わたしの赤ちゃん" (Unusual Fetus - My Baby), published by Hibari Shobo in January 1975. It's most likely appeared in several collections since then. I scanned it out of this "Best of" volume that is actually titled after it - the Japanese title of the story is "赤い花", literally "Red Flower(s)". Interestingly, the cover gives its own, alternate English translation.

    I'm not always sure this is the right place to release my Hino scanlations. Some of his stuff doesn't really seem to fit and to fall more into a dark fairytale/folk horror type category. But... no such doubts this time. The title story may be the most messed up thing he's ever done. It certainly is way up there. In my personal opinion, obviously.

    Thanks for the encouragement and no worries, I don't plan on stopping with my Hino scanlations anytime soon. In addition to me liking his work (as you may have guessed), his stuff tends to be quite easy to read/translate compared to, say, Uziga or Kago. So not much willpower required. I literally translate Hino to relax in between more challenging projects.

    I'm not sure if your question regarding other groups or people translating Hino included officially licensed publications but the only ones that come to mind are the folks at Star Fruit Books. They've already published Hino's Town of Pigs and are currently working on Occult Detective Club: Doll Cemetery as well as a reprint of Panorama of Hell. Anything I don't have to translate myself is welcome as far as I'm concerned.
