I've tried editing the trial version data files but unfortunately it still gets stuck on the part where the trial ends to no avail.

But I was able to use the other characters, and their 2 Star skills work with their own unique dialogues. So if anyone's curious to try it out, the link's here:

The other characters only work through the save files so just use those.
