i have to respecfully disagree- stylization follows study! using real graphic gore isnt necessary, but if youre looking for a level of realism that warrants looking at medical gore i think its worth taking the extra step. itll take a while to refine that knowledge into the sexy anime art style thats popular on these boards, but when you get there youll have an understanding of your subject that gives you confidence and your drawings depth.

tutorials and studying guro you like are, of course, great ideas. but i find its very helpful to study the real thing!! attached a sketch so hopefully give myself some credibility. best of luck!!!
