What's the closest a non-hentai manga has ever come to consisting of nothing but wall-to-wall gore and cruelty? I've read Nagai's Violence Jack and Devilman Lady and they're great but even they have too much "downtime" and normal stuff for my tastes.

When I say "non-hentai" I don't necessarily mean non-guro. For example, I consider Kago and Hino to be guro artists but not hentai (for the most part).

The main reason I'm excluding hentai is that I'm not too interested in the long drawn-out sexual scenes that guro hentai often features. I want something that doesn't feel the need to obey the slow rhythm of sex/masturbation.

Also, the longer the better. Just something that lets you immerse yourself and soak in an atmosphere of decadence and evil would be great.

I made this in /req/ because I am mostly looking for recs, but if people just want to /dis/cuss what the best answer to the question is I think that'd be cool too.
