Kristie was known to be one of the deadliest fighter in the ring, she would often place bets saying that anyone who can beat her is free to use her corpse in any way they wanted. This recklessness and courage is what made many people attracted to her, and combined with her playful nature, she is the fan favorite for many attendants to the underground fighting ring. However one day she met her match, a latino man named Ramone had begun to rise in popularity, and now he had been matched up with her in that night’s fight.
The fight was going well at first, she seemed to be able to keep up and even beat back Ramone on round one, leaving the man bruised and beaten.
“what’s the matter champ? C’mon put up a fight! “
The second round start without any hitch, she seems to still have an upper hand, Ramone’s huge body seems to leave him less agile than his scantily clothed opponent, but she gets too cocky when she launched a heavily telegraphed kick to the man’s side, a kick, that was caught by the man’s bulky arm.
Ramone didn’t give her time to realize what’s happening, before she can react, the man smashed her leg with his elbow, leaving the girl to scream in pain and fall helplessly to the floor. Ramone stood still, waiting for her opponent to stand up, and surprisingly, despite her injuries, she stood up, with her usual grin plastered on her face.
“N-Not bad man….but im not going down today, you hear me?!”
The crowd cheers, but deep down maybe Kristie knew better, her leg bone is broken into two, there is no way she can win this fight, so she decided that if she is to die, she wanted to give her fans a show they’ll never forget.
The girl moved closer to her opponent, launching a barrage of punches to the man’s sides, though Ramone managed to block all of her hits, and landed a clean hit to her hips. She staggered, and another hit to her stomach, she started to vomit, the bell rings just in time to save her from another blow. The crowd began to feel concerned, and even the manager told her to give it up, but the fiery girl is determined. Come round three, its do or die.
The round starts with a somber tone, Ramone’s quick jabs puts the already badly injured Kristie into a defensive stance, when she sees an opening, she launched a powerful haymaker directly to the man’s chest, the hit was severe enough to leave Ramone’s stance to waver, and he coughs up blood as a result of the punch. But the hit did nothing more than to fuel his rage, as he retaliate with an uppercut, tossing Kristie’s body into the air, and landing her back first into the floor.
It all seemed like a blur to her now, the voices of the judge counting down, and the voice of her manager, but one thing woke her up, its her fans that told her to give it up, that they didn’t want to see her die. This put a smile on her face, as she stood up she whispered an unaudible apology , first to her fans for not being able to win the fight, and second to her family, for not being able to return home outside of a body bag.
She slaps herself to get fully awake, this last hit is going to do it, its her final hit. She rushed towards Ramone, who already prepared a punch directed at her head. Maybe its because her leg gave off, or maybe she did plan to duck at the right time, but her body tilted downward, down enough to evade Ramone’s punch, and deliver a swift blow to the man’s chest, sending him flying to the edge of the ring.
She has done it, Ramone gave up and was unable to fight back againts Kristie. Triumphant, she lift her arm up, and the crowd cheers, celebrating yet another win. But her victory didn’t last long, as her body gave out, and she fell to the floor, coughing up blood and wheezing for air. The manager tried to call out to her, but she was unresponsive, when he tried to shake the girl awake, her head limply tilted to the side, moments later she began to wet herself, losing control over her bladder now that her organ has shut down. Kristie was pronounced dead that night, the cause was a severe internal bleeding and loss of organ functions, even though she was already dead, her face was still proudly smiling.
Her fan wept at the loss of their idol, and build a memorial of her in the underground tournament. True to her words, her corpse was given to Ramone, who would later give her body back to the underground ring, where her body is cleaned and preserved. Her body would be placed in the underground ring’s entrance, now shown to the public as a lifelike statue of the charismatic fighter who won the fight, even though she lost her life in the ring.
