The sun was just beginning to set as Atsuko got out of her car. Her daughters were spending the weekend with her parents so as to not worry them about something that has been eating away at her for the past 2 months. She looked around her neighborhood to see if anyone was out; Atsuko sighed with relief as she quickly walked in her house.

"Of all things, why did it have to be a stalker?" She asked herself. It had been difficult trying to keep this sort of thing away from her kids; they may be smart for their age but it is still something they shouldn't worry themselves with. Hopefully with the help of the police the nightmare should be over.

Atsuko was deep in thought when a knock at the front door. She walked to the door and opened it, revealing her neighbor Kaz. "Hey Atsuko, it's been a while. I thought I would come over and check up on you."

"Oh, hi Kaz. I'm sorry I've just been a little on edge for the past few months." "You want to come in? I'd rather not be outside for too long."

"Uhh sure." Kaz was taken by surprise, the usually sweet and doting mother was replaced with this disheveled shell of her former self. As soon as the two entered the house, Atsuko began to explain.

"I think I have a stalker."

"Really?"

"Yes, and I'm worried they might make a move any day now."

"Have you told anyone?"

"Just the police, but they are still looking for anything that can identify them."

"Well if you want, I can stay with you, just so you feel a bit safer."

Atsuko sighed, "Thanks Kaz I knew I could depend on someone like you. Let me get you a drink."

"Kaz?" Atsuko looked around before being tackled to the ground. She tried to cry out for help, but she was silenced by the piano wire wrapped around her throat. The person holding that wire: Kaz.

The man chuckled as his victim was on the ground helpless. "Honestly I'm surprised you actually thought to let me in. You never had a thought after all the "advances'' I've made over the last year? I didn't know you already went to the cops, but I guess I have to cut my plans a bit short."

Kaz rambled on as he pulled the wire tighter around Atsuko's neck. She writhed and squirmed for any possible chance of freedom, but to no avail. She could feel her heartbeat slowing down as her vision blurred. Atsuko knew this was the end as she could hear memories of her and the girls laughing and playing, as her brain shut down all she could hear was "I love you mommy."

After what felt like an eternity, Atsuko was gone. Kaz held his grip on her neck for a few minutes more before getting up and marveling at his handiwork. He leaned in close and whispered into her ear, "Now we can be together forever." With that he played with Atsuko's limp body for a few minutes before putting her in an over the shoulder carry and began to savor his new trophy.
