Part 1
Bridget twirls his Yo-Yo in large circles as he hums a tune his parents had taught him. Today had been a rather slow one, with no big bounties coming his way and few people coming to his show, so Bridget had just been playing around and having fun throughout the city. It had started turning dark, so he decided to return to his apartment to eat and take a nap.
Bridget stands outside of his apartment for a moment, stretching his limbs out and yawning before opening the door, "Hopefully tomorrow will be more excit...".
Bridget's words die on his tongue as he enters his room and sees a massive monster of a man standing at his window, looking over the city. Bridget is taken aback for a moment but shakes his head and puts on a smile for the stranger. "Hello there, anything I can do for you?"
"Bridget?", The man says in a deep voice.
"Yep, That's me." Bridget gives a proud smile and points at himself, "Sorry, but if you want a private show, you'll have to make an appointment...". Bridget pauses for a moment to look over the massive man, before including, "but if you have a Bounty, then I'm all ears."
The man chuckles before turning to face Bridget. He looks down on the petite boy, and Bridget can feel the condescending thoughts running through the man's mind. "I am here because of a bounty, but I'm not offering one."
Bridget is quick to catch onto the implication and readies for the fight. "Can I know who sent you?"
"Some townspeople who seem to know you." The man shrugs, clearly apathetic to the situation, "Something about how they should have killed the 'Cursed Twin' when they had the chance."
Bridget's heart breaks when he hears that. He knows the townspeople are dedicated to their superstition, but he never would have thought they would go so far as to put a bounty on him. Bridget's blood runs cold as he wonders about his family, if the townspeople hired a bounty hunter to kill him, then what would they do to his brother and parents. Bridget knows he has to get back and check on them, make sure they're safe, but right now the bounty hunter is his priority.
Bridget wastes no time and launches the Yo-Yo at the man, only for him to easily snatch it out of the air. The man gives the string one powerful pull and rips the rest of the Yo-Yo out of Bridget's hand and sends him flying forwards into his bed. Bridget tries to push off the bed, but the man slams his fist into the back of his head, smashing Bridget's face into the bed and leaving him reeling. He can faintly hear the familiar growls of his companion, Rodger, as he leaps from his waist and at the assailant.
The man is taken by surprise for a moment, giving Rodger the chance to claw at his face, but the man quickly grabs Rodgers back and tears him away, leaving a few scratch marks behind. Bridget manages to get up, only in time to see the man raise Rodger over his head and smash him against the headboard of the bed.
Bridget lets out an anguished and blood curdling scream, as he watches his dear friend explode into stuffing and metal. The sight of his friend's destruction leaves him in shock, unable to move as he starts uncontrollable crying. The man takes the opportunity to grab Bridget by the head and force him to roll onto his back. The sudden pain and force knock Bridget out of his shock, but before he can start to fight back, the string of his own Yo-Yo wraps around his neck. The man tightens the string, cutting off Bridget's air.
Bridget begins clawing at the string and thrashing around on the bed, hoping to loosen it, but the string just bites deeper into his neck. The man has a rather satisfied look as he watches Bridget struggle, and all he can do is weakly smack at the man's arms.
Bridget's thrashing slowly turns into convulsions, and his vision begins to fade to black. His grip on the man and string steadily weakens, until his arms limply fall to his side. Soon, Bridget's body is left limp, with the only movement being small and sporadic twitches. The man watches as the final small light in Bridget's eyes slowly flickers and fades away, until Bridget's cold, empty gaze is all that's left.
The man lets go of the string, allowing Bridget's corpse to slump over the bed, before cupping his face and turning it side to side so he can examine him.
"You sure don't look like a guy." The man says, both mocking the dead boy and being a little confused.
