A Russian woman volunteers to kill for the Russian mafia to protect her family from extermination. The mafia takes her into a program originally designed to train female Soviet agents, the "Red Sparrows." The women now learn to offer themselves as killers to very well-paying clients. In a specially equipped hotel suite, they explain the killing process to their clients and what they will feel. The Sparrows (the name has stuck) analyze their clients to provide them with the longest and most intense experience possible. The clients have her at their disposal for one night and the following day. If she is still alive after that, she will be killed. Some, however, have chosen suicide instead.
