Just a little something I started this morning in readiness for the new rules! I've not abandoned the others, just had this beginning in my head so wanted to get it down. Enjoy!

Pt 1

After her shower in the hotel bathroom, twenty year old Elizabeth looked at her naked body in the mirror, her flame-red hair hanging in long, wet rat-tails around her shoulders. The clock on the dressing table told Elizabeth she had just under thirty minutes to be ready and down at the dock. Like the rest of the crew, she has flown to the nearest city to the Dolcett Islands the day before and spent the night there. A small chartered boat would be taking them the rest of the way. She sat and dried her thick red hair with the hair-dryer, a towel wrapped around her chest and barely falling lower than her hips. Not that it mattered much now, of course.

Each carrying a couple of bags, the small party headed out and down to the dock where the rest of the crew were waiting with the heavier equipment. It was not long before the boat arrived and they were all helped safely aboard.

The view was lovely as they made the three-hour crossing to the island but Elizabeth felt restless. It was not her impending death that bothered her, she had made her peace with that long ago and was rather looking forward to it, but rather it was the strange feeling of having nothing to do. As an intern, she was used to having to run around after everyone else, making notes, fetching coffee, running this or that errand on demand but on this journey she had no role. She had come along as, essentially, a prop and, as such, had no jobs other than to look pretty and eventually get eaten!

For the life of me I can seem to find an artist on Pixiv or anywhere else, and they may be deleted. Hey everyone, I'm proud to present you my very first story here. Or at least, the first fully developed one.
I hope you enjoy it.
I currently have 2 chapters written, but I could write more if there is demand for it, either as the following part of the story or as other stories in the same universe.

The two girls started running, but were quickly caught on by the policemen and ended up lying on the floor, roughly immobilized.
"Name and age!" shouted one of the policemen, a sergeant.

I initially planned to release it this weekend, but I've decided to rework a few things on the next chapter, so it might be a few days.
Especially since I've been writing the start of another story in parallel.

Huh, with that bump, I just realized I've been sitting on an unfinished 6k words chapter 2 for years at this point.

I keep starting with new story ideas that end up developing into way too complex stories that I never finish and publish.

I've just started a new one, but maybe some day, I should actually finish chapter 2, shouldn't I ?
