The artist deleted their pixiv account it look like, and the wayback machine didn't have anything either. I remember the comic was black and white, kind of chibi-styled, and had a male adventurer running into a female one. They camped together, ate, and then parted ways the next day. Later, the male adventurer finds her corpse with arrows stuck in it. He says something like "I'm sorry, but I haven't eaten in days," drags her corpse into a cave, then fucks and eats it. If anyone can find it or the artist, please let me know. The reddit thread I first found the comic in is still up, but with dead images of course.

The time was several years after Y2K. Y2K had hit the civilized world with horrible vengeance. Computers stopped. Planes fell from the sky. Nuclear bombs went off by themselves. Daily food supplies stopped. People in great cities and small towns starved. Disastrous as it was, our small town survived the initial devastation.

In our part of the world we took some of the good and made do with the bad. For instance, although the Central Government warned using too much food could bring about a famine. We took precautions. We did our part by not letting mothers get pregnant and fixing males. Doing this kept our population down. After all, we loved to eat, so something had to give which was to have fewer children.

Now as the holidays came closer, the women would travel to neighboring town. The town didn't get its money by tourism, or selling crops, but by selling children. It was one of the ways thought of to keep a population down and have an income at the same time.

Of course, to sell something then someone else must buy that something. In this case, when our women, who did the shopping, went to market, and they wanted something special, they would ride their horses over to the town named, Kidville. There the women would look over the fattened kids ready for sale. The people of Kidville didn't care who bought their kids, as long as they were sold.

Some of the surrounding towns gave an outcry about the inhuman treatment of the children in Kidville. Yet on special feast days one could always find a fat kid roasting in the oven. We called them the hypocritical towns.

So, now that you know the history and some of the background of how this inhuman treatment befell the human race, let me take you on a recent shopping trip. The holidays were approaching. My wife, Martha came and asked me, "George, what would you like me to fix for the holiday meal?"
