Tucked away in the red light district of the capital, there exists an old and peculiar institution. Simply called "The Necromantic", it is a brothel where the workers are not alive, in the literal sense. To get a spot in its highly exclusive clientele list, one must demonstrate a taste for the grotesque, a deep purse, the right friends and discretion. If its workings were ever known to the wider public, outrage would ensure total destruction of the lives of everyone involved, thus its customers hold each other silent in a game of mutual destruction.

To discuss its mechanics, one must start with the proprietor and sole living employee.
The owner is a mage of exquisite skill and craftsmanship. Her talents on the battlefield made her very wealthy. However, combat magecraft is a young woman's game, and she wanted a more sedate life. Her work in the dozens of conflicts sparked by ambitious noblemen of the Continent made her very proficient with less than legal schools of magic, some of which involved possession of the dead. With such knowledge in tow, she set up camp in the seat of empire.

Firstly, she needed a source of fresh bodies. Necromancy does not work very well when the subject is bloated with gas, swollen, with skin sloughing off in decay. That narrowed down the list to the city morgues, many of which were overflowing with the freshly dead. She also made contacts within the prison, convincing corrupt correctional officers to "donate" the bodies of young female criminals.

The first subject the mage got her hands on was an 18 year old female thief. The young lass met her end on the blade of the man who owned the house she had been burgling.
