In recent years, it seems like “Kill the Above” threads have cluttered up this section; and I will admit to being largely responsible for most of it. So, I figured it would be prudent to try to gather these into as few threads as possible: three so far; one for teens and adults, one for children, and one for beasts/monsters.

Here’s the first thread.

Death Above

You have probably seen this enough times to know the gist of it, but I’ll explain for any newbies.

Poster 1 posts a character/characters and scenario.

Poster 2 writes a story in which Poster 1’s character is killed, based on Poster 1’s outline. Then Poster 2 creates their own character, and the next person repeats the process; and so on and so on.

Making decent guro is pretty hard in comparison to plain normal stuff so SFM or Honey Select is not that good

The best choice for pictures is Daz3D + ZBrush + Photoshop (or something similar for texture editing)
Daz3d has lots of content. Most of it can be found for free.
Photorealistic rendering will require Nvidia card with 8Gb or more memory. (but you can use 3delight as well with slightly less realistic results.)

You can try Clip Studio if you would like to try drawing 2d pictures in modern way. Clip studio is also useful as better photoshop replacement, which you can use to add text and special effect to your pictures

Not to be a dick and all, but I find it astonishing how many people can't seem to recognize stylistic elements unique to certain artists. I mean, one look at the males with their large chins and their grins and the small, skinny girls with looong legs and short bob cuts should tell you that this is definitely Carl's art. Yeah, they're way more stylized, but the line quality and rendering is the exact same. Hell, even some of the poses are similar to ones used in Carl's guro art.
