What programs/workflows do you use for manual work? I'm mainly focused on Krita for drawing and painting, I've been thinking about getting into doing comics but the amount of work, as you have confirmed is daunting and I am not sure about what best practices are for getting good results from that kind of medium.

She looked at her brother and called his name. Instead, only a cough came out of her mouth. Wait, could one cough in sleep paralysis? Maybe she was just dreaming of coughing? But to her surprise Len heard her cough and faced her. Or was it also a part of the dream?
“Ah, you’re finally awake”, he smiled. “You’ve been sleeping for a couple days straight, I even started worrying”.
Rin stared at him in confusion.
